The food was amazing, very tasty. As we were a large group we ordered several different dishes, the sizzling chilli prawns being the best but a bit pricy at $HK600. Service was quick and good. Great atmosphere in the restaurant.

The food is really good and tasty. We ordered dried fried beef with chili, wun tun, fried rice and sweet and sour. All are very good and it can't be better. Staff were attentive as we were also there for a very late lunch and there were no one else. We think the price is a bit pricy, but not... More

Went for dinner, and the place, service and food was excellent! We had sweet and sour pork, wontons, dry fried beef with chilli and fried rice. We also had tea and a large beer. The bill was around 600 HKD, which is a bit high, but not crazy, given the quality and location. Also, -1 star for serving shark fin.... More

I have been coming to the Red Pepper about four times a year for nearly thirty years now. Food is always outstanding and the service is usually great, although staff can at times be rushed and unattentive. This time both the food and the staff could not have been better. However... a small portion of sweet and sour pork, a... More

When I arrived in the restaurant, I was the only customer. But it cannot be a reason that the waiters stared me throughout my lunch. I felt so uncomfortable. And they charge u on tea and tissues that you even didn't ask for. Also, you have to pay 10% service charge. It is definitely overpriced. Never come back.

This restaurant served mainly Sichuan dishes, but they were not that spicy, most people would be able to eat them. Our friend knew the menu well, he did all the ordering, and all the dishes were tasty and plentiful. We had a nice big table, and the restaurant was not that noisy so we could really chat and had a... More

Close to the main roads of Causeway Bay, we wandered into the Red Pepper without a booking. It's very nice inside, just as you would expect. The food was very nice... tasty and fresh. It's not cheap, but the quality and service is excellent.

We enjoyed the food and the service. Generous portions but surprised that rice was not included. Would definitely go here again!

This restaurant in fact has been in Hong Kong for years, last time I visited this place should be more than 10 years ago. I ate there tonight, but all came to a disappointment. Not cheap at all and very much geared for tourists than locals. When I got in there, the deco has not been changed, just as if... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
