Bit tucked away - but it came recommended and it lived up to expectations - they catered to our dietary requirements and food was of a high quality and reasonably priced in line with other restaurants in the area - we had a lovely mixed grill, the chat was superb and the day was excellent. Not sure we could really... More

There are Indian restaurants that I go into because they happen to be nearby, but Jashan is one that I go out my way to eat at. I must have been to this lovely restaurant nine or ten times now and still i go back whenever friends from overseas are in town, or as a treat with my boys. The... More

My wife and I were recommended to this Indian restaurant by a friend who lives in HK. It is a modern and comfortable place. The food was very good quality indeed - well spiced, good portions and not too greasy but is was a little overprices and at about HKD550 for 2 of us for only a main course and... More

Food is good but a bit stodgy - not done with finesse Service is friendly when you can get them to focus Decor and linen are a bit dated. Trying to be formal but (like the food) stodgy. Good value for HK.

Had dinner at Jashan with my husband on Saturday night. We'd been out during the day and had a sudden craving for curry when evening came round, so just walked in without a booking. The restaurant was quiet and fairly empty but we didn't really mind, since that meant we got our pick of table. We took a large corner... More

The tandoori chicken, kebab, Also Gobi and dal makhani, we found very delicious. Little bit spicy but mouth watering dishes they serve in a cordial environment. Met one of the owners who we found very friendly and helped us to take group pictures. The price seems quite reasonable compared to HK standard.

The tandoori chicken was superb with its subtle spices and yoghurt marinade. The service was very attentive and our substantial group enjoyed all the variety on offer. The whole wheat roti was also a very nice choice as the main bread, as was the saffron pulao accompaniment. Would definitely return !

Overall we were pretty disappointed with Jashan. The service was very good but the food let the place down. The murgh tikka was dry and bland and the Rajasthani Lamb curry which we were todl was VERY hot hardly registered on the Richter scale. I certainly wont be going again and i doubt neither will my dining partners

I along with my collegues went to Jashn to have the Indian flavour on weekday. We found it good in taste also not over priced. It serves with good variety of food. It serves both veg and Non veg but if one is only looking for vegetarian then it also has some good variety in veg as well. Looking for... More

We went to Jashan for a lunch buffet on a weekday. It was good food and great variety. The only funny thing was that the serving staff was too eager to serve us the bread (to go with the main course), while we were still enjoying the starters. The special drinks were nice and we enjoyed the starters more than... More

Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
