Excellent recent October visits, several times there, each time, superb, I love the Malaysian cuisine and like the spices also, the staff superb, cannot list the exact meals, one was a curry, but enjoyed about three recent visits. Recommended, I will definitely return. I was drinking San Miguel Philippines brewed beer with the meals also. I love Malaysian food. There... More

Nothing fancy in any shape or form, but excellent food served quickly. Beef rendang is best I've had anywhere and likewise the coconut roti (especially stunning!). Not a posh place nor in a posh location (few dodgy bars around) but don't let that put you off - well worth seeking out if you enjoy good honest genuine Malaysian food.

Most popular Malaysian dishes are served here and worth a visit if you'r out in Wanchai having a drink in the local bars,

We arrived in Hong Kong late and needed a good quick meal. This place was walking distance from the Grand Hyatt giving us a chance to stretch our legs. Delicious chicken curry and string beans with Naan bread, but don't expect ambiance.

Really nice food. Would recommend for Malaysian cuisine. Very casual restaurant close to wan chai mtr station. Reasonably priced meal including drinks (round of alcoholic drinks, 2 starters and 2 mains was approx. £40)

We went here on the recommendation of a friend. Ordered the beef Rendang and the chicken Makhani and roti. All were very good. My wife found the roti best and my favorite was the beef rendang but we both agreed all were good. Prices were ok 345 HK. Couldn't finish but we had a snack before. Only down side was... More

A friend who had lived in HK for 6 months brought us here - from the outside it looks very average, and if she wasn't with us I don't think I would have visited. However, it is a local gem - the decor is unassuming but the food is brilliant. I enjoyed everything we ordered, and would highly recommend the... More

There are probably not that many Malaysian restaurants in HK, but as these things go, this is a pretty decent option. Had the beef rendang and it was nice and juicy - if not particularly memorable (but then I live in Singapore, where you have really great Malaysian food).

Ordered Roti kanai - it was the worst I have eaten . It was more like a paratha squashed up . The curry accompanying it was mediocre . The prawn curry was okay but pricey. Chicken rendang has a horrifying look and average taste . Why did I go there ? Question will remain unanswered.

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
