Location - centrally located with an awesome view of the harbor. Just a note that the view is shared with the public so occasionally you will have some bystanders lurking around (and enjoying the view also). Restaurant - seating is very comfortable with decent space in between tables. More roomy with high cealing Service - excellent. All staff were attention... More

We have been several times to Watermak. It's located just above the Starferry arrival piers in Central with a discrete entrance that can easily be missed. Contrary to the entrance (a tunnel) the dinning room is full of light and spacious. They serve a Sunday brunch and on Saturday we had a set lunch with some options to choose from.... More

We had the sunday brunch with an optional beverage package. The choice of fresh seafood including oysters, prawns, mussels, fish, sushi, salmon etc. was exquisite. Also the hors d'oeveres and the salad were fresh, different seasonings and dressings were ready. Unfortunately, the remaining hot meals were not up to standard. besides some steamed mini potatoes and an undfinable spinach-gratin, there... More

After stumbling onto this place in the afternoon we booked a table by the window for 7 pm . It was a very good place for our final night , looking at the harbour lights and activity . The staff were friendly and the service was excellent . The food in the other hand , was small servings but nicely... More

We needed to eat after a long day and were making our way back to our hotel on Kowloon when we came up with the idea of eating in Hong Kong while the sun was setting and all the neon's were starting to come on and then, after the meal, travel back on the Star Ferry (also Pier 7), watching... More

We visited for a dinner with friends and left feeling quite disappointed with our experience. First and foremost, the service was awful. No-one greeted us at the front of the restaurant, so we had to go find a waiter so we could be seated. Service wasn't overly prompt, and despite them bringing us the bill without even asking for it... More

When even the host doesnt want to be working there you know you ate in for trouble. I could not imagine a more cold and unfriendly welcome to a restaurant than what we received when we arrived at Watermark. I am not sure if it was a visit to a Pokemon Go gym or a Candy Crush moment but clearly... More

From start to finish, my experience here was very good. The hostess and wait staff were very professional. The food was yummy delicious. I had the carrot soup, ribeye steak with potatoes & asparagus sticks, then their delicious dessert! The food is well worth it. The harbor view added to the ambiance! Finally - the price - amazingly spectacular for... More

Watermark has a great set lunch. Good mains well cooked. The white tablecloths give a sense of elegance This is a fabulous place overlooking the Star Ferry and a window seat will give you a glorious harbour view. The sea bream was crisp but perfectly cooked. My fellow diner has pork belly. The tables are big enough to layout work... More

Of all the evenings we went out for a meal - my wife and I was looking forward to this one. Well what a let down - the meal was absolutely awful. It tasted ghastly with the soup resembling dish water. My main course was supposed to have chicken in it - well if you call four small chicken cubes... More

Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
