This hidden gem is a bar with very nice live music and good drinks. A bit exclusive, artistic, excentric and eclectic. Worth a visit. Not for families with children

Many people are intimidated by this bar, as it's where a lot of bankers go, but in my experience it's relaxed and friendly. The jazz music is excellent. It's a little pricey, and you won't get in if you're wearing shorts and flip-flops (unless it's...More

This is one of our favorite bars in Hong Kong. Usually come for happy hour but today we experienced the Frank's Library. Tino, the amazing bartender, made us so many nice drinks that we just couldn't stop. They are so so good..

Foxglove is a swanky speakeasy that I enjoy going with a small group for live jazz and cocktails. The front of the "hidden" bar is a classy umbrella shop that reminds one of the Kingsman films (and you can purchase $300 USD umbrellas). Once you...More

We’ve visited Foxglove twice now, and loved it on both occasions. Everything is fantastic quality, from their wine to cocktails to food. The only reason I’m not giving them 5 out of 5, is that I’ve found the portion size (when it comes to their...More

A hidden gem – speakeasy ‘Foxglove’ gives you the sense of bygone luxury. Inspired by the globe-trotting adventures of an English gentlemen, Frank Minza the ambience is both elegant, edgy and cool. If you like the 'Peaky Blinders' series you will love the vibe and...More

It was my first day in Hong Kong and I was invited by someone whom I had just met to join them at Fox Glove. I entered through a door either side of which was decorated with walking canes and pipes. Once you're in, you...More

We went with another couple for post-dinner drinks. Upon arrival we were greeted not warmly and were asked if we could be out by 9pm? Not a great welcome. Then through the secret door into a sort of marine themed room reminding me of the...More

When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies
with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The
area widely known as Central is the major financial
hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up
to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open
late into the night and there just happens to be a
street party every weekend. Although everything seems
to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of

Description
Sometimes, the best secrets are camouflaged in plain sight. Walk past Ice House Street and you may just miss this hidden speakeasy. At face value, Foxglove is an elegant umbrella shop, meticulously outfitted to minute details by trendsetter gentlemen's salon The Armoury. But walk through the alcove and press down on a "certain" umbrella, and you'll be whisked into a bygone era of classic cocktails and live jazz via a discrete sliding door. Named after the eponymous flower, Foxglove is a revival of the classic drinking dens of the 1950s, bringing guests on a time travel journey back to the golden era of bartending with iconic cocktails and fine liquor, some of which dates back almost a hundred years! The story goes that there once was a gentleman named Mr. Minza, who travelled the world in search of adventure and all things beautiful. However, what he could never capture was the heart of his beloved, so he created Foxglove, named after his lost lover's favourite flower, to win her back. At its natural state, the foxglove flower is potently lethal, but if used carefully, could also treat ailments of the heart.
