Great quality of hot pot. The portions aren’t big but the quality is fantastic. Once if the best in Beijing

I came here with two friends for dinner, unsure exactly how a hot pot worked, but it was great fun and the food was delicious. I’d recommend getting one ‘bland’ and one spicy stock, along with a selection of meat, dumplings and vegetables. The dessert...wasn’t anything to write home about (but was fine) but everything else was perfect, including an extensive wine list. As we were staying in the Rosewood next door we’d also had the buffet lunch in the Red Bowl already and it too was excellent.More
This is an eclectic, modern, Hot Pot focused restaurant. It's a great place for enjoying a high end experience and unwinding in a private club vibe. A special night out, A celebration with friends, a family holiday, all yes. Not a traditional Hot Pot place....I'd go back for the atmosphere alone. The food is top notch, the preparation of sauces infuses hybrid flavors, and the service is attentive and pleasant. Red Bowl is the fine dining version of HuoGuo.More
Truly amazing dinner with a large table in a private dining room- great service - great food and atmosphere throughout, well priced stand-alone style hotel restaurant - not your generic "hotel F&B" - well done!
We dined here our last night in China after spending 3 weeks traveling the country and sampling various cuisines. I was looking for something upscale where my kids could have hot pot and I could have a relaxing dinner and a glass of wine. Red...Bowl did not disappoint. It is located in the Rosewood Hotel and the staff spoke English and were able to explain the different types of broths to choose from as well as the meat, seafood, vegetable and dumpling choices. We had a fantastic time, enjoyed the upscale atmosphere and had fun tasting our hot pot dinner.More
Having hot pot for a meal is such a social experience. Red Bowl did not disappoint, the atmosphere was very relaxed and was definitely more up-market than other hot pot restaurants I have been to. The menu was sufficient, food was good, fresh and plentiful...and our waitress was attentive. Overall, worth having a meal here.More
Quality was good and hot pot itself was tasty, however, it was not as expected and service was sometimes less attentive. Overall, it was a nice restaurant and recommended.
Great selection of both meats and soup. Peppercorn is their main ingredient, beware, it’s really spicy and literally numbs the senses. Great on a cold day.
We visited the Red Bowl twice during our stay in Beijing. We travelled to Beijing with our two young children and they were welcomed everywhere and especially at this restaurant. The staff are attentive, the sommelier knowledgeable. They have a varied and interesting wine list and...they were particularly good with recommendations and quantities of food for ordering as one cooks it all at the table. There is a wide selection and prices vary - as do the levels of spice/ chilli in the broths. Our children loved it and we tried a variety of dishes and sauces. Delicious, fresh, communal eating. Bookings are essential- especially if you are not staying at the Rosewood next door!More
Divine venue with great contemporary style but staff lacking training and professionalism. Difficult to order then we were hurried through the eating process and missed out on the dessert buffet. We were never really sure what was included in the week end buffet choices and...what incurred additional costs. Hotpot was delicious but a challenging dining environment for non mandarin speakersMore
Beware of the Szechuan hot pot. its so hot but so good. Service is excelent but you do need to book to get a table.
We really like this place, ambience and food is great and we never leave disappointed except this time. Normally they have 2 IPA's on tap (Slow Boat and Kentucky) but during the National holidays they run out of both. Lame excuse was, that the distributor...could not deliver, but a pro active F&B manager in a 5 start hotel should take someting like ths into account. Same with bottled beer, Asahi was the only decent choice left. But the really sad thing is and I never realized that before , all those excellent craft beers come as the same price like a lousy Tsingtao. Same for bottled beer, Slow Boat priced lidentical likeTsingtao again. Come on this is not justified.More
one of the hottest restos in Beijing at the moment. beautifully decorated. amazing selection of beers and spirits. truly loved the pot experience and learned a lot about this style of cooking. really fresh ingredients and truly fun...
Tested out 3 hotpot restaurants while in Beijing. The food was great and the waiters spoke some english. Beware of ordering the the HOT version.
I really enjoyed this place. It is located in the Beautiful Rosewood Hotel. It has great decor, friendly staff, and the food was so yummy. If there are only two I would recommend sitting at the bar to order single. I went with the Beijing...Original for my stock and loved it. My friend went with Wild Mushroom and that was really good as well. Def get mushrooms, and the meat was excellent. They were out of shrimp which was a bummer.More
