Staffed by good staff with good quality german food. Always happy to spend my Saturdays here for a good beer and during weekdays for the 50% off deals. It's one of the few decent bars to just grab a beer and chill out in Sanlitun...plus nowadays they also have the pizza of the old nearby the tree which has been gone for 2 years now.More

My wife and I have eaten here multiple times and the food is always amazing, no matter what we order. The schnitzel is delicious, as are the pork knuckle and the burgers. The sausage platter is a generous portion and a great value. Fair prices...on pints and cocktails and our favorite place to enjoy a meal and some pints in Beijing!More

Conveniently located in Sanlitun now. We used to come to the old place and was disappointed when we realized that is was gone, and later very happy to discover that they moved even closer to our hood. The atmosphere is really nice. And the food...is consistently good. Now in December it is also a good location to get some mulled wine and get into the Christmas spirit. Just like home.More

The restaurant is located in San Li Tun since a few weeks only. The boss had to move to a new place since he got his old contract terminated. The place was known as “The Tree” before. We had a few drinks only but the...beers (mostly Belgian ones) were fine. The food looked good too. The music and the TV program was good. The service was quick and very kind. We will definitively come back.More

A friend brought me here and i have to say for the price, the food was quite good. Not the best German/Western food in Beijing, but solid. And not only the bar food type, lamb chops and German fried potatoes with it were very good....Will come back.More

Friendly staff, well managed by a Sino-Irish team (German head chef), quick service and a decent selection of beers on tap appropriately including Chinese beer, Irish Guinness and a German hop!). The main restaurant was not busy except a few regulars at the bar watching...the sport on TV, but the small terrace and on street seating was packed on a warm summer's midweek evening. Simple menu but everything we ordered was just as expected. Tasty meat balls with spicy tomato sauce my favourite, and my friend enjoyed the lamb chops, they were super juicy. Enjoyed a walk back to the hotel along the riverside.More
