Described as one of Beijing's most iconic locations with stunning views of the Forbidden City, the venue has long captivated to emotions of its guests. Located in a building alongside the former Imperial palace's eastern moat, the place has been transformed to create a two-storey experience that is unmistakably Beijing. While the menu has French cuisine in its DNA, the Modern European approach with inventive and harmonious adaptations to local ingredients is what we aim to deliver and hope to be remembered for Lunch and Dinner served from Monday till Sunday, with Brunch on week-end.

We visited for the Saturday brunch and enjoyed the selection (many appetizers and 'brunchy' items, then we chose a main entree and a dessert. Everything was presented so nicely and as it was our anniversary, we got a special heart shaped cake for dessert, too!...Lovely service as expected from the TRB group. Next time, we will request the bay-window table which had a great view of the Forbidden City tower, wall and moat. (We didn't know there was an upstairs, but the view might be better from there, too). They were very accommodating with my food allergies, too.More

Visited for brunch yesterday. Had the pleasure of meeting some strong staff in Tina, the very unassuming manager, Angelina and Peter. Dishes as good as always, especially the starters. Consistently good. But looking forward to the new menu.

On August 22nd, after 7 months being away from Beijing, I went back to TRB Hutong to see my security friends, then I met David, Louis, Jessie & Sunny unexpectedly. I congratulated Sunny to her wedding. Finally, we happily had reunion photos together.😄 The next...day, I went to TRB Forbidden City & brought wedding card and gift to Sunny. Sunny asked me whether I had dinner or not. I replied no. Even though the restaurant was busy that night, I stayed for dinner. Sunny & Ash served me dinner by turns. Cherry also came and said Hi to me. Everyone was very happy to see me again!😁 The environment, food, & services are still outstanding. I had 2 favourite dishes. One was a special avocado dish which had seaweeds and sesame seeds on the top. The other was the awarded sweet rice dessert.😋 After dinner, I was talking to Ann & Angelina on the 2nd floor dining area. Angelina & I had an extremely funny conversation about her previous colleague who is also a good friend of mine. Angelina imitated the way he talked, the way he pushed his eye glasses plus his facial expressions. Man, I totally laughed my ass off.🤣 It was pouring rain that night. Sunny told me there were tables outside which had to be moved inside to get ready for Chinese Valentine's Day. Everyone else was busy with other tasks, so I helped Sunny to move all 6 tables from outside to inside of the restaurant then everyone could get off work earlier. It was an unforgettable night! Love you all, lots of kisses💋💋💋💋💋More

TRB Forbidden City is open!! After nearly 6 months of sequestered renovations and preparing, this amazing restaurant is back and serving up a unique blend of French and Asian cuisines. Always a wonderful place for a special occasion. Highly recommend!

We attended brunch with a group of friends. The view is very pretty and the service was seamless. The food was very haute cuisine but still delicious. It was a very nice experience.

My husband and I visited TRB Forbidden City to celebrate our anniversary and Valerie was our server. All the dishes were delicious, and we also enjoyed the wine pairings. The team went above and beyond to ensure that we enjoyed the celebration, including an anniversary...cake at the end of the meal. I only wish that there were more windows to enjoy the gorgeous sunset and views of the Forbidden City, but I would highly recommend coming to this restaurant to celebrate a special occasion.More

I am afraid I don’t know that as we just had lunch. It could quite happily have been a menu that would have satisfied my dinner requirements as well. It is a very sophisticated professional outfit.
