My family visited for dinner on a weekday. We wait for 1 hour. Although the restaurant has a large place, the waiting zone can't be designed worse. Not enough chair, no waiters helping us. When we finally sat down, the waitress was impatient and arrogant....I have to say the food was good, well designed. But the interior decoration was gaudy and tasteless. As one of the top restaurant and given the price, I do expect something much better. Not only the food, but the whole experience.More

First came the beautiful presentation and then the fabulous taste of the perfectly roasted Peking duck. Nice restaurant and good service.

This place is a must if you visit Beijing! The private rooms are very classy and the service is second to none. I have tried Peking Duck many times and I can say that the combination between the taste and service in the restaurant makes...this one the most unforgettable ever. All other dishes were also delicious. I hope I have a chance to return sometime in the future.More

Let’s start from the beginning I really don’t like duck but Da dong is the exception !The Restaurat really knows how to make duck and the additional sauces really makes this special. If your in China look up Da Dong it’s clean, service is great and...the food says quality across the board. Tell me if you enjoyed it. It’s a great experience. Don’t miss the chicken feet!More

Both myself and my wife are huge lovers of chinese food and we visit chinese restaurants in London very often. This was our first time in Beijing and we decided to try Dadong, as lots of people recommended it to us. The dinner overall was...very pleasing, the atmosphere very relaxing and the personnel very helpful. The food was also very good but the centre of attention, the duck itself, although very-very good, was not the top Peking Duck we have had. Not to be misunderstood, the place is overall very good but we were given the impression that it was more a tourist magnet than a gourmet place. Overall, we had a nice diner and I would recommend it to people who had not had duck in Beijing. If you had Peking Duck before, especially in extraordinay restaurants, it would be interesting to compare.More

Our concierge from peninsula recommended the restaurant as we wanted good chinese food. The duck is being cut in front of you and the staff speaks english. Its a place to recommend. In total we spend around 2500Yuan. For a good meal, wine, drinks and...Duck. Special thanks to Tylor, one of the staff that helped us well (sorry cannot remember all the names).More

First time tasting this crispy delicacy. The restaurant is pretty modern looking. The ducks are roasted on open fire oven. It didn't take too long to get the duck even though the waitress instructed about of 40 min waiting time. The duck was pretty good...but I missed at least a bit salty taste (like any other local food). Good salads etc. and the service was good too. Recommended if you want to taste the world known duck!More

The duck was really good, but for the price, I think you could get a more affordable one for the same price.

Yes, best to have a reservation any night of the week. Very busy place but the food and atmosphere is worth it.
