My first trip to Beijing I stayed at the Four Seasons Beijing. The hotel boasts two restaurants Mio Italian and Cai Yi Xuan both with 1 Michelin Star. Mio’s decor is simply outstanding, amazing food presented beautifully and the service to match. My wife and...I opted for the Discovery tasting menu with accompanying wine, 5 courses. Each course explained, as was the wine and nothing was too much. One of the best experiences I’ve had in a long time. Yes it’s not cheap but definitely worth a visit!More

Very attentive service (though sometimes forgot orders), and perfect authentic food down to the details. From a choice of olive oil types to aged balsamic and the best sourdough I've had in Beijing. Vegetarian options could use more imagination, but food was well cooked and...staff very adaptable and helpfulMore

We were on an Abercrombie & Kent, seventeen-day tour of China, but arrived a couple of days early and were booked into the Four Season Hotel Beijing. We decided to try Mio, which is the hotel's Italian restaurant. My husband and I each opted for...the seven-course tasting menu, which started with a delectable amuse bouche and worked its way through soup, salad, pasta, main course (New Zealand lamb -- perhaps the best lamb dish I've ever tasted), and dessert. The service was outstanding. Each course was tastier than the last. We were visited at the table by both the Italian chef and the Italian assistant chef. We liked the restaurant so much that we decided to go back for a second meal, picking items from the tasting menu that we particularly liked. Even though I didn't order an appetizer (but my husband ordered the soup), they brought me a complimentary bowl of cream of mushroom soup, which was most unexpected and much appreciated: that said, I declined the soup as I was trying to pace myself to save room for desserts. At the end of the meal, we ordered two desserts and were surprised to receive a third. At this meal, the assistant chef greeted us at the table and the chef waved to us from the kitchen where he was busily whipping up delicious creations. The server "Summer" was especially courteous and welcoming. The acid test: would I go back? Our two meals were both memorable and we would be regulars, if only we lived in Beijing, So, yes, yes, yes, we would most definitely go back (and often)!More

We had very good time at Mio with their special wine(drink) paring lunch. Personally, I can never get used to the idea that there is no table cloth for fine Italian dining and their interior is really not my taste.... but aside of the environment...I still enjoyed the meal.More

It is good and quite expensive Italian restaurant located at the Four Seasons Hotel. So, the cook is an Italian and food is good too. If you want to have a pause on the local food, the Mio is a good choice.

Although it was a business lunch, we ordered the 'couple' menu @ 1188 + 15% for two and serves five courses. Each of them was OK but not really special, and definitely not worth the price.

Exceptionally well done. Inside the Four Seasons and a nice change of pace if you need a great meal but a break from the mad dash of tourism.

We couldn't wait to come back to the lovely MIO where we treasured many beautiful memories from over five years ago. And certainly MIO never fails, and it even brings unexpected and pleasant surprises. Ambient and setting is as great as always, and with different...people - chef and managers, the service is top class as well - they read your mind, think for you, and deliver. To celebrate a special occasion we only picked the set menu considering it is a weekday lunch, and it already gave us top satisfaction - from starter to the main to the desert as a finale, classy but with beautiful and creative and avant-garde ideas not only in presentation but also taste. MIO, and Four Seasons, is always a top choice.More

We came because of the recommendation of friends. Its deco is good, luxury, eye stunning, open bar & kitchen and nice color combination. Its food is ok, after tasting a big variety with pass around style. We had lamb, fish, pizza and lobster pasta as...main dishes and we tried soup, salad & tiramisu and ice cream. It is not bad but in average. The service wasn’t up to our expectation. It is under the roof of Four Seasons and it really can be better in many aspects. More
