I think importnat is to start with the date May 2023. So many locations are missing for foreigners after the covid age. On top is that I found this restaurant by a stupid coincidence again after 6 years . It change the place and is...not easy to see it from the main street. O.K. I am back, the same guy Torben and his wife manage this restuarnat. On menue on the card has the name best filet streak in twon. Yes and for my impression it is right. Two evenings one after another I ordered this filet steak, great. I wish they all will come back again on the wave.More
Fantastic place, very comfortable feeling like in Europe. Food was excellent and delicious, specially the steak. You can feel the good mood when the 2 cooks are working more than 20 years.

Essentially: a French restaurant, in Beijing, with a small and increasingly influential Danish part of the menu. Torben and Mme Torben have made this very small restaurant into a real success, and the clientele love it. Home-made snaps disguised as tea; WONDERFUL Danish open sandwiches;...good grilled meat. OK, the Danish food is not as perfect as in Copenhagen, but Beijing is a long way from the Baltic; and if you eat a smorrebrod and sip a snaps and close your eyes, you are a long way away from your zero COVID reality. My wife and I went here for a date on a Sunday night and it wasn't too busy. I found this place by accident while on a walk and saw the sign, Bleu Marine...Probably the Best Steak in Town...Torben the owner said it's a Danish...thing using the word "probably". The decor is cozy and comfortable. The food is simple but amazingly tasty. I had the steak filet with BBQ waffle fries, coleslaw, and tomato soup. I love coleslaw and this was prepared perfectly. I love steak and this steak was cooked to perfection. It was tender, flavorful and the texture was spot on. My wife had the Danish plate which had an assortment of goodness. The bread was good too. The food tastes so good even which finished I wanted more because of the flavor. A nice surprise was Torben came round for a chat and treated us to three different types of his homemade Schnapps. Kiwi, Walnut, and Coffee, all delicious! We bought a bottle of the Kiwi schnapps to take home. A lot of steak in Beijing is overpriced for the quality but this place has done it right. The server spoke English adding to our comfort. I'm looking forward to returning to try even more items from the menu but for sure I'll always be getting a steak.More

Second time already a great dinner evening. So glad we discovered this place. Hidden well in the rush of Beijing business district, but so much like coming home. An honest warm welcome, a familiar menu, nice talks with the owner but above all excellent food...and wines. Its true, hard to find a good grilled steak in Beijing....but there it is 😀 Thick, juicy and perfect cuisson👌Duck was also tasty. Cherry on the cake: a true schnapps-tasting, all home made.More
We have been many times to this lovely and cozy restaurant and it was always a great pleasure. Enjoying the excellent food in the living room atmosphere in combination with the warmth of Celine and Torben and their staff made this to an oasis in...busy Beijing for us. It is a unique place to meet nice people from all over the world. Beside the excellent steak, I can recommend the Danish platter, the duck and the salmon. A “Matjes Herring“ to start and a pancake at the end makes it a delicious set meal. Torben´s homemade Schnapps is fantastic – trying a Coffee-Schnapps is a must. If the Chilly-Pepper is too strong, you are too weak 😉. All in all: for sure 5 stars for BLEU MARINE and their best steak in town!More
I've been at this restaurant many times but now and there was not one time were it was less than a perfect 5 stars. It is does not only offer a cozy and friendly atmosphere, but if the host /owner is around you will be...offered a variety of schnapps. In addition he will make your stay even more special with a brief chat (or longer if you want). On top of that the food is simply delicious. The steaks are made to perfection and so are the fries. The beautiful arrangement with a side salad makes for a great picture for your food blog or simply as a great memory. I will definitely make my way back there the next time I'm in Beijing.More
