Very good food, but much more expensive than other dumpling place in Beijing. At least they have English menu (most cheap places don't)

Maybe we had too high expectations after reading reviews and recommendations, but Mr Shi's just didn't do it for us. I could definitely see why many love it, as it was great value, but the quality of the dumplings and other dishes was just okay on the night we had it. This dining establishment is a walking distance from Nanluguoxiang, the alley going here is quite dark at night, bu the place is safe. Been there with my family and it was delicous. Beside the dumplings you must order the side salads they are great not too spicy

ok, maybe I ordered the wrong food. Maybe I was in the wrong location. But the food was nothing to rave about. Was I missing something? I am not sure.
