I live about 2 hours away from Beijing so every time I am in the capital I try to go to as many restaurants as I can. The Cheesecake Factory has been a stable in my to-go-to places for quite some time. Very dependable, always...fresh, tasty hearty food with great service. I was very surprised the first time I went, because I just didn't expect the portions to be the same as in the US (size, flavor, presentation). This is exactly like a Cheesecake Factory in the USA. Same giant portions and overwhelming menu! It’s appreciated when one is missing home. I was able to make reservations in English for 5 of us on a weeknight. We were quickly shown to our table...and had a great server. Though he didn’t speak fluent English, we could still communicate what we wanted, including a request for no meat. When my friend asked for the Mac and cheese burger without the burger, he immediately told her they would give her more Mac and cheese. This kind of service is not common in china!
