This is one of, if not the oldest Thai restaurant in Beijing. I often go there for lunch with family or colleagues. They serve good Thai food, some of it however with distinct Chinese characteristic. Nevertheless I keep coming back because Serve the People has charm and good atmosphere. Service is normally good, English is not the preferred language, but... More

I've been going to this restaurant for years and actually I really like the food there. I've never had a problem with the food, but I'm leaving this review because I want you (management) to know what happened last night. I visited last night with my girlfriend and she ordered the mango salad. She thought it tasted really bad and... More

Good service, good street side location. Red vegetable curry was delicious, got it with a generous serving of white rice. Vegetable spring rolls were pretty good. Pad Thai was good as well but had a bit too much egg. Would like to see a few more vegetarian friendly options especially in the fried rice section, but overall very satisfied. Will... More

Serve the people was our regular weekend lunch when we lived in Beijing a few years ago. It has not changed and still provides excellent good value Vietnamese food in a quiet environment within the second embassy district and not far from Sanlitun. It has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating so is a good option all year round. Highly... More

By far my fav place for Thai food in Beijing. Nothing fancy but i like the consistency of the quality n to me its the closest to real Thai food. Another popular place is Purple Haze which is slightly fancier n another local(expat) fav but i still prefer Serve the People.

The food is well prepared, it arrives fairly fast. to speak Mandarin helps, the spiciness has so far always been what I have required. The place a can be a bit cold in January.

The food was ok, and the papaya salad was spicy, but, lacked the other vegies. Service, seems nice, but, had to make several reminders to the staff, regarding our orders.

I've been going to this restaurant for about 12 years now and it never fails to deliver. I have to admit that this was probably the first Thai restaurant I ever went to, so it is my standard against, which all others are measured. However, I can say that after trips to Thailand and eating at Thai restaurants all over... More
