Tucked in a quiet street south of Tiananmen this place may not appear very promising, yet the duck is to die for. The meat is tender and juicy and comes with the full show with the chef bringing the duck out on a tray and...More

I’ll keep it simple. The food is sub-par. The duck itself is fine. The service is just disgusting. I’ve never seen so many wait staff be so rude to so many different customers. I need a shower.

Went as recommended by the concierge and a few international friends. Our Chinese friends warned us that Chinese websites are showing a strong deterioration of ratings. Will trust the locals next time... Living in Hong Kong, we are used to this type of restaurants, local,...More

If you want your Beijing Roast Duck in a rustic rough-and-ready place, you must also be prepared to wait regardless of a reservation having been made earlier. The duck is fat (oily) but meaty. It has all the trimmings, thick pancake wrappers (probably of semolina...More

I came with a group last year, and we had an amazing dinner with dishes that a pair of Chinese friends ordered for us. Of course, the famous Peking Duck was one of them. I had already tried it n other restaurants in Beijing, but...More

This place was recommended by a travel foodie programme as well as my friend whom had stayed in Beijing for many years. I was warned by my friend prior to visiting the place that although their duck is great, their service and attitude towards the...More

Left our tour group to go out for duck dinner on our own, looking for local place. This restaurant was superb, once we found it. Hidden down an alley it is literally a whole in the wall. The duck was special and everything we were...More

I would not try to finish a whole duck myself, and I'm not sure if they do take-away bags. They do however have other food, which we didn't try, but which looked good, and authentically Chinese. Like the other traveller who... More
