This place is no longer operating but was a great place to hang out for lunch on "the other side" of the channel (Manda Island). Try Diamond Beach Village instead for a similar experience.

One bad waiter shoundn't make the entire island bad. Yes there are some bad people out there, but Lamu Island and lamu house beach is fantastic. You can report someone if anything arise, this is what I experience, but overall, I enjoy the meal, yes its a little bit expensive but I enjoyed iit

Unfriendly staff, bad and expensive food. We have visited the place a couple of times. The location is very nice on the beach but service and food is really bad. I will recommend to walk further down the beach and you will find a better place

No pleasant atmosphere nor nice food overcomes a waiter pressuring me to buy him an airline ticket to Malindi for his leave. Mzungu give me your money! Go to Lamu and be a cash machine for manipulative jerks.

The Lamu House Beach Club is a typical Open restaurant with bar, big hand-made sunbeds and sun-shades on the beautiful beach with view over the sea to Shela beach, opposite Manda. The food is very fresh, especially the fish, grilled on barbecue. it's all original and in Swahili style. You can book the trip from Lamu town at Lamu House... More

It is a beautiful place but the owners are biased and very racial and rude. Did not stay there but went to see their gift shop which we found had moved to the fort.

For the food, they have suggestion of the day with a... More

...took a speedboat over from Old Town to spend a lovely Sunday afternoon. Great beach, food and company. We were feeling energetic so decided to swim across the channel to Shela too!

For the second time, we stayed in Lamu House Hotel and of course, we spent a lot of time at the Beach Bar again The ONLY place in Lamu with fantastic sunbeds, nice shady places to relax, super-seafood and cool drinks and the best vibes. Never over-crowded, always service with a smile ! The view is beautiful, you can make... More
