This place is great, they don't oversell themselves, however and the menu can be a bit difficult to figure out. Once you have been though, you will keep going back. Portions are generous and well presented. They offer everything from Korean Kimchi to sushi to hibachi grill. My teenagers can all find something they like to eat.

Nice Japanese cuisine but the prices take the joy and fun out one's mouth. Nice location with ample parking good for business meeting

In my opinion Furusato is the best Japanese restaurant in Kenya offering the full range of Japanese cuisine. This includes a Tepanyaki area where the chef makes your food infront of you and an extensive sushi bar with a wide variety. You can't go wrong with Furusato.

The sushi is decent. Not excellent, but good. This is place is good for large groups. It's also a good pick if you just need something in Westlands (centrally located in Nairobi). The service is good except that the waiters can be a bit sexist. I have been a few times and when I go just with my husband, they... More

One of a good Japanese Restaurant in Nairobi. Went there after a long time. Food and service still good and prices still very reasonable - compared to most if Indian, Chinese and Italian restaurants who have increased to a ridiculous levels. Their Tapanyaki is excellent - even compared to the expensive ones in London. Have got to get back to... More

Being a fan of teppanyaki, I enjoyed the food at this restaurant. Everything was fresh and well cooked by the chef. My only request would be that the chef cooking is more conversant with the patrons - ie. he explains what he is preparing.

We went with a large group and ordered a range of dishes, which tasted from OK to great, however some fish smelled like it had begun to turn bad. We were both sick the next day. Given the prices we would expect fresh fish.

For sushi and sashimi, this is great place. They also have wide range of tepanyaki. A hot steaming bowl of udon tempura is my favorite.

Fish is fresh, prepared and served with good style and attention. Nice outside area with a small garden, large parking area too. Waiters are very professional and gentle. Loved the sushi teppanyaki dishes. Ideal for families or groups of friends.
