this place is always crowded due to limited seats and good choice of liquors, a nice way to catch up a informal meeting.

Good ambience to unwind in the evening. The meat platter is good though pricey, good offers on beer, served at the right temperature. Can get quite noisy on weekends

A coffee in the morning before breakfast, poolsite chilling, a relaxing lunch and poolside work-location, Evening drinks or outside grill dinner. All are pleasant! the Staff is friendly and welcoming. As Intercon is centrally located it makes it the food place to meet up with friends during stays. My standard hangout if i dont feel going in town.

This bar has good option for barbeque alongside drinks. You might also enjoy the charcoal fired heaters placed in the evenings during winter time, while enjoying live music band performances.

The place is very cosy by the pool side. The meals are wonderful. However, the biggest drawback is the poor services by the staff. They are either demotivated or simply cannot see the customers and one has to constantly seek their attention.

Very happily I was there. Very annoyingly I couldn't spend much time there because of the children's prohibition. How silly. Surroundings all beautiful though, and the personal friendly in a certain part of way. But how sad that I can't take my kids out to enjoy its qualities there.

The only good thing about this place is the cosy atmosphere and Tusker beer was cold.. Service was painfully slow and when eventually my plate of food arrived (ordered pork ribs) it was cold, sauce on my ribs already congealed. I could not separate the ribs by hand they were so tough. It was hard using a knife too. Small... More

We tried the Tusker (Kenyan) beer and we were hooked! But the quality of their staff and the size of their grilled plates are the real winners. Do go, you will not be disappointed...oh, and they show big football matches on the side of the hotel's wall...

We were a group of 20 and decided to do an afternoon tea by the pool side. First no one to clear the tables, we had to do it ourselves, service after 45 minutes. The pool attendant kept going to look for service staff. The staff at Makuti bar could not serve us inspite of some of us requiring beers!

I like this place. It was my favorite joint at the Intercontinental Nairobi. Its an excellent place to wind down under the TUSKER shade doing the Tusker thing. The service was courteous and make you feel welcome. The lamb barbeque deserved a special mention. The portion was generous. The ambience was great what with the perpetual Nairobi spring. Great atmosphere,... More
