Tricky getting to the actual location, as it is inside the Wilson Airport. Upon arriving the staff where helpful and inviting. The setting is excellent with an outdoor area for kids to run around. Planes taking off and landing while having lunch is a great experience.

I heard lots of rave reviews about the food at the Aero Club and so we set up a family lunch to give the place a try. The location is great. Ample parking lots of excellent Aviation memorabilia but our love affair ended there. We ordered several burgers and quite frankly they were below par and comparable to burgers we... More

Very peaceful despite the fact that a plane takes off or lands every few minutes. You still find it peaceful. The food is very well done. Love their hamburgers . they are a must eat.

My son loves Aeroplanes so Aeroclub is one of his favorite restaurants. It is located close to the runway at Wilson airport so it is fantastic for people who love planes. The food is very good and fresh. The service however is slow and sometimes they do not have enough staff of hand.

Wonderful place to meet up with friends and have breakfast or lunch in a friendly atmosphere. The club has a lot of aviation history and for airplane buffs, it is a great place to go.

As a regular visitor to Nairobi, I've been here a few times and have yet to be disappointed, the food is lovely, curry, fajitas, burgers. Service is good..a lot of ex-pat Brits go here. Food is good value too. A lot cheaper than the hotel! Beer is cold! The flying club as the name suggest is right next to the airfield... More

Was here yesterday and I'd heard so many good things about this restaurant. I ordered for the red snapper... It wasn't what I had expected or anticipated. Very dry and looked crumbled (four pieces)... The service was also not good...I only spotted two waiters who probably had to tend to like 50 people.(So it's understandable) My friend said I should... Sitting outside and watching the plane to come in or gong out.... But more important is the food, and there is the small problem...on some days the food is fantastic, on some day you are a bit disappointed.....but still a good place to go, if you have a bit time.

What a place!! A peaceful, quiet garden as part of a great restaurant with far out the best food in Kenya (!) -especially its burgers and fries are perfect- leads to some nice collection of planes with soft wings taking off or coming down. The milkshakes are not that special, but the children of the cooks make up for it... More

The Aero Club of East Africa was founded in 1927 by the aviation pioneers who opened up the frontiers of Africa. It still retains that 1930s romantic charm and historical ambience. The club is the only restaurant at Wilson Airport, four km from Nairobi’s central business district on the Langata Road. It is on the edge of the Athi Plains, with easy access to the Nairobi National Park and Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. The restaurant has inside dining, a large eating deck and tables in the garden and by the swimming pool. It overlooks Wilson’s 007 runway and is an ideal spot to spend the hours before you leave on safari or to unwind on your return and watch planes and helicopters land and take off while soaking up the atmosphere in this legendary piece of Kenya’s aviation history. Chef Neil McCarthy and the Creative Kitchen Co. team moved into the restaurant at the Aero Club of East Africa on 1st October 2011. Neil has cooked and consulted all over the world, from London’s Mayfair Hotel and the Moscow Metropole to California’s vineyards and top-range hotels across Africa, including the Mt. Kenya Safari Club and Nairobi’s Tribe hotel. He is famous for his tasty gourmet burgers and dry-rub spicy BBQ ribs. He creates tasty international buffets and a la carte specialties. Sinful puddings include his New York style, melt in your mouth, baked cheese cake and home baked apple pie. He serves mouthwatering and seriously satisfying food.
