Was looking forward to a great lunch but the owners changed and had sandwiches and coffee instead which was a bit disappointing. Great view of the small planes. Note: Have to pay to get in via main entrance esp Uber service

This place is ideal for lovers of the Aviation Industry, the ambiance is excellent with run way meters away from the lash garden where you can enjoy a drink and sumptuous meal with friends, colleagues and family.

From the past reviews this place has certainly taken a back step. I do hope that they realize and improve again. The historical Aero memorabilia is interesting.

Fantastic place to go! A must and a hidden gem. Phoenix Burger is the best in town, but I haven't gone wrong with anything I have ordered, even the breakfast is great. Staff are attentive and wonderful atmosphere.

I have been here before and was looking forward to having one of their signature burger. Apparently as of recently they no longer have the menu they were known for. Now all they have is mostly coffee, cake, a few pre made sandwiches that aren't even made there, the ones they have now are like the ones you find at... More

Visited Aero Club Restaurant today specifically to eat some of their burgers which I recall as being some of the best in Nairobi. I am disappointed to note that the menu has changed drastically from what it used to be. The burger selection has been reduced from what used to be almost 10 delicious selections of burgers with lovely names... More

Stopped here for lunch while we had time to spare after flying into Wilson before transfer to the international airport. Food was good and service was pleasant. Nice spot to watch the lite aircraft coming and going if that's your cup of tea.

This is by far the best place to enjoy a fantastic meal while you watch aeroplanes fly overhead! What a great way to spend an afternoon with kids. They have swings and a little bit of ground area where kids can run about. The seating is both in and outdoors. The food is tasty and plated like you were fine... More

The Aero Club of East Africa was founded in 1927 by the aviation pioneers who opened up the frontiers of Africa. It still retains that 1930s romantic charm and historical ambience. The club is the only restaurant at Wilson Airport, four km from Nairobi’s central business district on the Langata Road. It is on the edge of the Athi Plains, with easy access to the Nairobi National Park and Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. The restaurant has inside dining, a large eating deck and tables in the garden and by the swimming pool. It overlooks Wilson’s 007 runway and is an ideal spot to spend the hours before you leave on safari or to unwind on your return and watch planes and helicopters land and take off while soaking up the atmosphere in this legendary piece of Kenya’s aviation history. Chef Neil McCarthy and the Creative Kitchen Co. team moved into the restaurant at the Aero Club of East Africa on 1st October 2011. Neil has cooked and consulted all over the world, from London’s Mayfair Hotel and the Moscow Metropole to California’s vineyards and top-range hotels across Africa, including the Mt. Kenya Safari Club and Nairobi’s Tribe hotel. He is famous for his tasty gourmet burgers and dry-rub spicy BBQ ribs. He creates tasty international buffets and a la carte specialties. Sinful puddings include his New York style, melt in your mouth, baked cheese cake and home baked apple pie. He serves mouthwatering and seriously satisfying food.
