Great cocktails here, got strawberry daiquiri and it was very good. Quite strong too which is good. Staff were great and dealt with a stalker who had started following us fifteen minutes before and had come into bar to try and sit with us. Felt very safe and security was great. Atmosphere was amazing and relaxing. Would definitely go again.

We had the best cocktails in Nairobi, in Exchange Bar, this year, in April. We went there on a Sunday evening. We were the only clients but the atmosphere was close to perfect. The decor is elegant, the couches are ver comfortable, the staff is extremely friendly and well trained. We stayed until late and the staff very kindly informed... More

A very colonial style bar. Never saw it busy, just quiet - buut strangely it still had atmosphere. The staff were lovely - just like the rest of the hotel. Best check what time they close - as they were not busy. Very relaxing. Felt at home - even though it is NOTHING like my home!

The bar is cozy and elegant. Artfact amazing. Service is impeccable. A good place to wind up and sip your drink in an old victorian setup. The bar like the hotel has rich history. It was the first place the first stock exchange took place. No wonder it is called - The Exchane bar. Enjoy a large glass of a... More

come see for yourself where the very first Tusker beer was served. This is a classically wonderful bar with leather furniture, ceiling fans and African plants everywhere.

Stayed at the Stanley for 2 nights in dec and ha a few drinks at the bar after dinner at the Thai restaurant. The waitress was great my husband wanted a cider but she told him that was more of a ladies drink. Too funny. In the end he ordered what could really be considered a ladies drink , I... More

Caroline was the best. If you are looking for an old world charming aristocratic experience, this is the bar!! The interior is beautiful. It looks like an English smoking room. The service is impeccable. I received a hot towel to wash my hands and warm service from staff.

I have travelled the world on business and this is the first time I've been inspired to write a review. First, the ambiance is tranquil and just what one needs after a day of long business meetings, calls, emails and sitting in Nairobi traffic. The entire staff provides exceptional service! I wish I could name all who have served me;... More

Lovely environment. Big comfy sofas and chairs, mostly all leather. They bring around nuts & chips for the tables as well which is a nice touch. The drink prices themselves were quite high; it didn't seem like this at first, but then we realized they didn't include VAT/service charges. Amazing mojitos though.

History comes to life at The Exchange Bar, once the site of Nairobi's first Stock Exchange from 1954. In 1922, The Long Bar,the Stanley's precursor to The Exchange Bar, famously took delivery of the first ever order of Tusker beer from Kenya Breweries. The bar retains the feel of a traditional English Gentleman's club while exuding a casual elegance and warm atmosphere. A perfect place to enjoy a single malt whisky or sensational cocktails accompanied with a variety of bar snacks.
