I used to be a regular at this establishment till it closed. I was really excited to hear it had reopened. On arrival we met the hostess at reception who showed us the restaurant and the two function venues. We then proceeded to the bar...area. The place has the same decor , old world charm leather sofas and nice wood paneling. From the menu we ordered the blue bullfrog , Bellini and I asked for a rock shandy. It was day 3 of the new opening and we were the only guests in the bar. Halfway through making the blue bullfrog the barman advised he had no curaçao blue and no Red Bull. He informed us he was adding Coca Cola to substitute. Then on the Bellini he poured the Prosecco it was flat. He then advised he had no more Prosecco and that he had no peach juice. He created an awful drink with a red syrup. Then he started to pour a beer and when I asked him what he was doing he told me making a rock shandy. I then showed him on my phone what a rocky shandy was. Three drinks and all a disaster. You have numerous liquor stores in the area. I live in the area. If this is your standard on day 3 of reopening you have a problem. Improve your barman and ensure you stock your bar. If the bar was this bad no idea how the food is ?More

I have not been to Lord Erroll's in a long time. They were closed down and just reopened recently. I booked for dinner and I was very disappointed in the food and the service. The location and ambience is still very good. I made a...reservation - they didn't seem to have it. We ordered fish and my friend ordered chicken. Although the restaurant wasn't busy, the food took over an hour. The menu says they have matchstick french fries. What we got were regular french fries. We ordered the lave cake for desert and what we got was chocolate cake with some chocolate sauce on the side. The waiter said that the Mocado white wine was semi-sweet. It is actually very sweet. And all this while paying about 20% above most other high end restaurants. Not a very good meal. There are much better restaurants in Nairobi.More

...a very delayed review... Great service. Attention to detail. Great meals. A bit pricey, but good for a family outing. They had a lovely 2-man band in the garden and it made a pleasant ambience all around.
