This is more just a market - it has everything! Great location, with everything you could possibly want or need.

I used to live in Nairobi and this was a regular place for the family. For a food court, the choice and range of outlets is great, and very few franchises. And in one of the best designed malls- all kept to a human scale and not endless glass fronts. Still love it.

There are many new shopping centres in Nairobi. Many are very good, and can be compared with any shopping centre in Europe. The Village Market is the most atractive one and we went there twice because we liked it soo much.

Located in the expatriate living area of Nairobi, Village Market is a shopping cetner that one finds most of one's everyday needs. Because of its intended clientele, it is sometimes exorbitantly expensive. Great Maasai Market on Fridays where mainly handicraft productd, slightly overpriced, are offered.

Give at least an hour and a half if you really want to walk through and haggle. Nice place to see their ware and we bought quite a lot of stuff and it was a good bargain too. Best place to buy your soap stone statutes and wood carving! Remember the weight when you have to fly back with it!

Village Market is a nice shopping centre in Nairobi. It has a good outdoor area and some nice eateries. I mostly go there for Zucchini as they have the best fresh fruit and veg for Muzungu shops - if you don't want to brave the local markets.

I was shocked when I first visited Village Market in March, 2012. Thought I'd wandered into a different country. In my mind, I imagined that the village market was closer to City Park (Nairobi) than what it actually is: a group of sophisticated shops catering to all your needs and wants. A one-stop shop: jewelry, electronics, movie theater, miniature golf,... More
