I'm not big on Japanese cuisine but this is a great place if sushi is your thing. Overall though the food was great. Ambience is nothing to write home about and again the place doesn't lend itself as a romantic eatery. They've mastered the art of serving large numbers which is no mean feat and the staff quite attentive to... More

The food here is good but the restaurant is large and lacks atmosphere. It didn't feel Japanese at all with it's high ceiling. Staff was attentive but I think they are used to high volumes of people so there was no real connection between us and the waiter. We did see lots of Asians coming for dinner so that speaks... More

Food is quite authentic and decently priced. There is option of outdoor seating. The staff were sweet and helpful and quick. Only 2 things that put me off 1. The decor was very basic, I had gone for a fine dining experience and was disappointed 2. The sushi wasn't great. Overrated Japanese restaurant.

I love the Japanese cousin here especially the sushi and Tapanyaki. The chef put up a good show . I normally have to ask them to go slow otherwise the food keeps on coming pretty fast. I would highly recommend this place.

I did not expect to have a good sushi experience in Nairobi of all places. I was pleasantly surprised by Furusato. The selection of fish in not as plentiful as you get in New York or Tokyo, but the fish they had was very fresh and tasty. Person I was with ordered hot food and it smelled very good as... More

I'm not a Japanese expert. Their Sushi may well be great, but my experience was not good. The starter salad was great. The miso soup tasted like it came out of a packet. The Tempura prawns were fantastic. The Teriyaki chicken was very watery and insipid. We asked for egg fried rice which of course is not Japanese but it... More

Decent Japanese food for a decent price. A bit on the expensive side, and nothing particularly good. Would overall recommend it.

I went to this place upon recommendation from friends and given we were a large group I booked a table the night before. Upon going to the place, the staff refused to even acknowledge that they had made a mistake and could not find our reservation. This was such a huge disappointment as we wanted to enjoy their tepanyaki. Worse... More
