Now,I am not so good at trying out new cuisines (yeah!) and the last time I tried out Ethiopian food, I detested it. This was not the case this time round. I was pleasantly surprised. The waiters were wonderful, the food was served hot and it was yummy. The injeera, shiro (I am not sure that I got the spellings right)... More

The food at Habesha is excellent. It's very authentic and spiced like a harmonic melody. Don't get shocked about the prices, because one ordered plate serves like 2-3 people. We chose the vegetarian platter and doro with chicken. The piece of chicken did not have much meat though. The atmosphere outside is very cosy under the bungalow roofs. Bathrooms are... More

Habesha makes the best Ethiopian food I've ever had outside of Ethiopia. I've had Ethiopian food in many different restaurants and countries on three continents, and no one compares. Try their Derek Tibs, Shiro, and Doro Wat with Tej (Ethiopian honey wine). I've eaten in this restaurant close to a hundred times and it's consistently good.

Really good food and quality for the price point. Was really packed lunch time on a Sunday. Service was prompt. Very casual atmosphere and you can expect to eat some dishes with your hands. At another Ethiopian restaurant I've been to they bring water and soap to the table to wash your hands before and after but not here, they... More

The Habesha has been in business for a long time and has only got better over the years. The food is authentic and very tasty. Prices very reasonable and the staff are friendly and helpful. The garden is shaded and cool even when the Nairobi heat is intense. Its a perfect place to while away a couple of hours with... More

It was our first time trying Ethiopian food; the staff gave us great recommendations to try (the mix tray) and they were really nice and helpful. The food was delicious, tasty and full of variety. The plate was huge, and the price was really good given the size of the portions and the food quality. The atmosphere was really calm... More

The food was great but the staff is quite rude and less accommodating. Other than that, I enjoyed my time. The place is great too!

In Nairobi for a short stay, we wanted to eat something African and Habesha was the nearest African place to our Hotel (This is the branch 550mts from Tribe hotel, near Village Market, united Nations Crescent). Service was prompt and courteous, food was delicious, portions enormous.

good kitfo and injera served in Nairobi. Dim lights create a different atmosphere. sightly away from the heart of the city but quite and relaxing place.

Was last here a year ago. It had improved a bit. Had the mix tray and their fried version of choma. The food was good and the service a lot faster than before. Will come again.
