It's the best food i had in Egypt in terms of local food, however it was the priciest compared to other local restaurants. There is another one, almost same quality, called Oum hashim , also good but cheaper.

The meal was more than enough to fill us up. It was good but the chicken and lamb were a bit dry for my tastes. The service was friendly and good..nice staff.

Recommended by tour company, and as always wherever you go in Egypt prices are hiked for tourists, though to be fair this does not only happen in Egypt. Anyway we had a window seat upstairs watching the world go by. We had lentil soup with lemon, it was really really tasty, we were offered more but we refused as we... More

Following the advice of a taxi driver I stopped there for lunch. When seeing the menu I was somewhat surprised: prices were only given in the - very short - English section, not in the much longer Arabic part. Foreigners are apparently expected take a full menu, which actually is no less than 85 pounds plus 20 percent service charge.... More

Not difficult to find if you head for the Hilton, it’s on the other side of the road a short distance before it, if coming from the town Menu was set meals. We chose Chicken Tagen and Mixed Grill Portions were large enough that we asked for some rice and fries to be taken back so as not to waste... More

The food has little choice in the form of set menus and overpriced. I can see mostly foreigners when we went for lunch. The food is decent though. They added a tax of 20% to the bill quoting city tax. But it is suppose to be 10% only in Luxor.

It's quick and edible, but there's no vibe. Just feels like a quick place to feed tourists. I wish we hadn't listened to our guide on this one.

We had our lunch here as my tour guide strongly recommended it. They only have a few set menu. We are in a family of 6, [4 adults and 2 kids] and found that it not suit our taste thus wanted to order only 4 sets. But the waiter [should be the owner too] keep pushing us to order 5... More

It was a nice lunch after a gruelling morning through the tombs and temples. Usually, set lunches can be boring but at El Hussein, a set meal consists of so many platters plus the main. The kofta was so goooooood!
