This restaurant seems like an Oasis in Luxor: calm and clean, it have Many different kind of dishes with mear, chicken or fish, besides breakfest and desserts. But the more incredible is: there are the colder beer of Egypt! We drink a juice and two beers, two dishes and one salada, plus on dessert. Our bill was LE$ 256,00 (today... More

I stumbled across this place and saw positive reviews on TA so thought I would give it a try. I ordered the Thai chicken curry, as I wanted a change of pace from local Egyptian fare. It was OK, but I think calling this Thai curry is quite a stretch. It was quite bland and tasteless. And why would they... More

Not many restaurants in Egypt are able to keep the food standard up these days with few tourists. Not even the 5-star hotels. This one is. We enjoyed our meals and stomachs were fine too. We went here twice and if we were staying longer we would go again,

I had dinner at this restaurant and it was delicious. It was very authentic and near the city center. Good service and the staff was friendly. I recommend it!

My wife and I stopped in for dinner one night and tried hummus (decent), two Egyptian dishes for entrees (both were good, but nothing spectacular), and two desserts. The highlights of the meal were the desserts - homemade apple pie and chocolate cake. Oasis is worth a stop by - just save room for dessert!

As most travelers to Egypt know, most everyone in tourist oriented places are looking to rip you off one way or another. Don't get ripped off going to another restaurant in Luxor. Escape to Oasis Cafe, for a blissful escape from the hassle and poor service of any other place. If your lucky enough to talk to the owner, it's... More

I stopped in here while walking around Luxor, and it was a great reprieve from the busy streets and hundreds of catcalls/people trying to get my attention. Very clean and quiet, and the propieter is very friendly. He's spent lots of time in the US and tries to run the place like a US cafe, which can be a welcome... More

This oasis was just round the corner from our hotel and we'd seen it recommended in the Lonely Planet. We were in Luxor during Ramadan so only ate here in the evenings. The food was great - kebabs, tagine etc were very tasty. The surroundings were very unusual - colonial and comfortable. Separate rooms for smoking and non smoking, welcome... More
