On entering l found the restaraunt small but very welcoming, the Egyptian staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, the head waiter spoke very good English which was a bonus when ordering food..l ordered the Fish and Chips which arrived promptly,l can honestly say it tasted the best since leaving England...The guys that run this place have certainly... The place is cozy but not classy even the tableware looks cheap. Waiters were friendly. But food wasn't tasty and overpriced, plus the quantity was not sufficient.

Sadly Dean has moved on to pastures new but the new Egyptian owner has the same chef who is great ... I had the classic fish and chips .. The fish was fresh and well presented although the mushy pies where a bit too liquidised all in all a good meal plus the apple pie and custard was excellent but... More

After an evening visit to Luxor Temple we walked past the place, when our tourguide wanted to bring us to a 'local restaurant' , 10 minutes away- what was 20 minutes and the only dish appeared to be roasted chicken. Since the menu outside Deans looked inviting, with 3 we went back and all ordered the beef curry with rice... More

Under new management, owners name Barakat. Excellent food, alcohol served, friendly, polite service and prices reasonable. Mother has mobility issues and the staff were very helpful and made her feel very welcome. Well worth a visit.

Revisited Deans in March. My first review didn't knock the food but Dean's attitude. So glad I went back to his new premises apart from the excellent food the place is small but charming and very very clean. Dean treated us like royalty he did not remember us from a few years previous for which we were thankful. His attentive... More

Found this little gem via a recommendation in the Steigenbeger hotel from a European guest and went there for a trial. Have now eaten here 2 nights in a row...and we are fussy!! I can honestly say that the Thai dishes we ate were better than I have tasted in Thailand...absolutely superb!!!! Dean has the common sense to ensure your... More

This is a must restaurant if you are going to Luxor, the food here was outstanding, and very fresh as you could see them pre-paring it as you waited for it. The steak was cooked exactly how you asked and the sauces were lovely. We loved how there was a selection of deserts which were home made, the strawberry tart... More
