The place is great and the food is nice. Perfect for the weekend, especially in the summer to enjoy the open area.

We got there through recommendations and don't regret it! The food menu is not very long but the preparation and quality very high! Be advised to get a reservation in busy times of the day or at festivities. I tried the quails which were excellent!

Once in a month ... the ritual that we established since a long time and insisting to keep. The Kofta appetizer is a must. The grilled quail is also a master piece

Andrea has moved to New Giza, off the Desert or Sahrawi Road, which is a blessing because getting to the old Mariouteya location was a nightmare. The restaurant lies on the top of the hill, has a great panoramic view and has maintained its excellent quality, albeit simple, menu. Best grilled chicken in town!

I have always been a fan of Andrea chicken growing up. Now that I got to try this new location after 10 years I was very impressed. It is setup on top of a hill with a great view if you sit outdoors. We ended up indoors due to weather and it was just as nice. Besides their awesome chicken... More

Sadly Andrea Mariouteya has closed down ... but the good news is that they have opened another Andrea at the Alexander Desert Road with a beautiful view onto 6th of October where one can enjoy the delicious Egyptian cuisine with a good glass of wine. It is definitely worth a visit to get not only to taste their delicious and... More

I've eaten at several Andrea's over the past 3 decades (but current owners) and the consistency in high quality food is nothing short of amazing. Their latest outlet in New Giza is a bit far (if you don't live in this area) but well worth the hike. If you are a tourist, combine it with a trip to the Giza... More

Description
Andrea has been a family business for over 40 years who moved to New Giza october 2015, where you can enjoy a better view with elegant architecture of Omar Rateb Design, the origin of the original chicken charcoaled in oregano abundant marination which can be served in half chicken portion with bones or boneless (full chicken) or skewers of small pieces of chicken. Quails are also available. The pre-main dishes are a great variety of starters that Andrea is also famous for, small round freshly baked bread is also one of the good memories this restaurant leaves for any kind of visitor. The chickens and quails are grilled by the entrance, so you cannot miss the vast barbeques on your way in or out. Andrea is a vast outdoor restaurant that also has an indoor area. The food has been traditionally served for the past four decades without ever missing a beat. So the food quality is constant. It is a casual place open for brunch, lunch as well as throughout the day until dinner. It also serves wine and beer. It has home delivery and no other branches in Cairo, though there are a few other places named Andrea that have nothing to do with this genuine and original location. It has only one branch on the Mediterranean coast at the gate of a famous compound named Hacienda, but you do not need to enter the compound to enter the restaurant that has a street entrance.
