Fatal lunch. The service incredibly slow. As a turtle. There were 6 waiters and very few people for the time and season (after easter) and no way to get served. Not even the glasses of water or metal cutlery(plastic one is used). They were all...going around the place to hide that they were working. They were walking around from top to bottom without doing anything and when you called them insistently and they could no longer ignore your presence, they would come closer and point out whatever they wanted. After 2 hours to eat 5 small dishes they have taken the bill and before saying anything they have warned us that the "tip" was not included, how strange in this country right?. Even so we left him a few pounds as a tip (without deserving anything) and one of the waiters literally told us: "that you have left is nothing". Decent food but not for €64 (4 people), as if these were European prices. The site is not recommended. We will never go back or recommend it. See you never Felfela.More

I only see tourist eat here, there is no local people eat in the restaurant .the food price is way above the local average price (5 times more maybe?)and the food quality is poor for the price they charge , I ordered stuffed pigeon which...is a traditional Egyptian dish but it came with French fries.the pigeon itself was dry and small ,I hardly found any meat on it . overall it's a very disappointing meal. I would not recommend this place .More

Tonight, on the second day of Ramadan, I had a lovely meal. I ordered a mixed grill and vegatable. The flavour of the meats and the vegatables were simple but good. certainly falls in the category of - simple food cooked right. Lots of solo...travellers and the staff were availabe and spoke English, despite the fact that I don't have a word of their native language - thank you! It must be very hard to work in a restaurant during Ramadan - they were all very patient. However they need a new CD. the accoustice guitar music was great but I heard the same Clapton tune 3 times during my meal. It must drive the staff nuts!More

We were served cold hard bread with none of the array of condiments usually served with bread. We both got the mixed grill which was very average. The falafel which I read people raved about was not on the menu but I heard someone ordered...it so I asked and they do have it, I think from the to-go part of the restaurant. The falafel was a disappointment, oily and bland. A really overrated place for tourists. Service was not great either, skip this place.More

We were here with our daughter in August 1990, staying at the old Lotus Hotel across the street. We enjoyed our dinners during our 5 night stay to see Cairo and Giza, so we returned today for lunch. With the company of chirping birds, we...shared a grilled half chicken and a plate of sauteed vegetables with a Sakara Gold and hyacinth juice. All excellent and filling for ~$21.More

The food was very good. The restaurant is super nice, with an interesting decoration. It’s quiet and the owner takes a lot of care for the customers to be comfortable. He speaks several languages including Spanish. We were 5 people and all of us enjoyed...the evening. Plus you can make a walk afterwards by the shopping streets nearby.More

This place has a wonderful ambience tucked away in a busy part of Cairo. But the food is not very good and expensive for the quality. I had the lamb shank and babaghanoush, both of which were small and dry. This place is for the...tourists. But, if you go around the corner to their shawarma shop, the food is better and cheaper, and you’ll know both are true by the locals that populate it.More

Very popular with tourists for a reason - great ambience, a wide variety of options and tasty food. Worth visiting.

I ate here multiple times whilst in Cairo. When I find a place I like, I keep going back. Everything I ate was excellent. Staff were friendly (at least some English was spoken by all.) Service was good. The location in the heart of downtown...is good. Nice ambience. Perhaps slightly more expensive than other places in the area, but absolutely worth the extra money. Highly recommended.More

The food was ok and the service also, but as a sevice fee was added to the prices and after payment the waiter pressed us to give another tip. Finally we paid 50 % more of the menu prices.

We asked for a certain table and one of the waiters refused, saying it was for 4 people and we were just a couple. It was ok, however they offered that same table to a local couple just few minutes later. It was a bit...annoying! Glasses were Broken and forks were of plastic, not matching with restaurant's fine decoration. Food was ok, But alcohol priced 3x average european restaurant.More

We went to their branch near Tahrir square and enjoy a quick bite. We are big fans of falafel and this was a good one :)

My wife and I visited Egypt with some family and relatives on a pre-arranged tour. The tour company selected this restaurant, which was a good choice. There was a good variety of food on the menu. I tend to eat a light lunch, so I...had grilled vegetables and fava beans with garlic. Service was good. Our Egyptian guide did the ordering for us, including appetizers (good falafel!). I learned that "peppermint tea" on the menu means black tea with peppermint leaves. There were very few desserts available.More

At the take-out location the crispy chicken is yummy so is the beef kofta. Two people can eat for about 100 EGP which is about $8 CAD. Definitely recommend

10 to 15% seems right. Little bit of $ for us, means more to them...particularly in a small place like this.
