My wife and I spent a week in Cairo and went to Cairo Kitchen twice because of how good it was. Food was authentic but still healthy and very fresh. The dining room is intimate and quiet, which is a nice break from the street...noise in downtown. The prices are very reasonable given the high quality of the food. They also offer different sizes for some dishes, which makes it easy to try many different things. Overall fantastic experience.More

The service is awful! I ordered veg mouloukhia, it was cold and no taste. Than I asked for a stuffed vegetables and a Karkadeh drink that was served in PLASTIC GOBLET?!?! VERY BAD QUALITY COMPARING TO THE HIGH PRICES !!! VERY BAD EXPERIENCE I DON'T...RECOMMEND AT ALL.More

Walk into this place and you will be unsure - don’t be, settle in and enjoy the food. It’s not expensive either - between three of us we ate extremely well and paid less than 200 Egyptian pounds each. We ordered a range of dishes:...kofta, a meat tajin, their dish of the day was a yummy chicken potatoes and peas; we then ordered Shish tawook to top it all up. For starters we had ordered a mixture of cold and hot mezze. Service was good and food came quickly. Their tajin was like a meat and potato curry and was delicious with rice. The kofta was a bit bland but tender. The yoghurt based feta was delicious with a nice tender chicken. Food served in metal old style canteen plates with a few odd pieces of dishes placed as decoration on shelves. Menu and service available in English. We walked out very satisfied with the food.More

Good food and ingredients, and accommodating staff (thank goodness after being treated so poorly elsewhere). The meat was a little tough but the flavor of the dish was good. The beet salad was excellent, all their salads and veggies looked enticing. It was a nice...meal.More

Delicious tradicional food. Here you'll find almost every dish you must taste when in Egypt and for a really affordable price.

It is a small local restaurant featuring Egyptian dishes. I had Koshary- it was good, but not the best I've had. My husband had the shish kabab. The meat was thinly cut and dry. It was inexpensive.

We needed good food quickly and that’s what we found here. We had a selection of salads and they were all really tasty. Service was good, prices were good. I’d recommend it.

We had a quick meal here one weekday evening. There was one other couple in there so not cramped as others have experienced. We had straightforward veggie Koshary and drinks which was good with nice crispy onions. Service charge and taxes were combined and came...to more than 25% of the bill so look out for that, but it was less than £6 (uk) for everything. Supermarket right next door if you need to pick up anything too!More

We came here for a late dinner after arriving in cairo, it was walking distance of our hotel (Marriott). The portions were huge, the food was generally very good and came out fast. the staff was friendly.

As the old saying goes: “don’t judge a book by its cover” this highly applies to Cairo Kitchen as while the food was tasty, the restaurant is too small to be comfortably seated and the table and silverware were not clean. Good food for a...fair price. Better order to go instead of dining in.More
