I use to visit this lovely cafe restaurant when I go to Zamalek. The breakfast menu is amazing and the staff are very friendly and cheerful with us . They got delicious cakes and sandwiches. Mostly recommended when you are in Zamalek area during morning hours .

This is a really nice coffee shop with lots of choice in cakes and sandwiches. Staff are helpful and pleasant. Baklava is well worth trying.

Local pastries more expensive than in Copenhagen! I bought some small local pastries (see photo) for a price that I find suspicious. I doubt that there will be 190 g with the tiny cakes that I bought... To avoid for unpleasant surprises in terms of bills, the quality of the pastries is not superior to other pastries much less expensive in the same area.

Zamalek cafe.
Looks nice when I walked past last night but at 3 pm today walked straight out. Strong smell of cigarette smoke, went instead to Maison Thomas nearby.

Horrible experience. Loud unfriendly Manager and staff. It's an old cafe with charm but ruined by bad management. I am never visiting this place again.

I used to love Simonds as a child ,their petit fours used to be the absolute best in Cairo ..I bought them for Eid it was truly a disappointment in comparison..maybe if I didn’t remember how good they used to be ?

I tried their French pastries and they were OK. They put very little nuts than they used to even though the prices is almost tippled.

The gateaux was very mundane to say the least, but their chocolates are good. I got millefuielle and it wasn’t crunchy, felt a bit chewy and damp.

Lovely coffee and delicious display of pastries and cakes. A perfect place to recharge the batteries and escape the heat, dust and noise.

A little pastery shop in zamalik with few little tables good for a cup of coffee on the go. Most of goods are baked the old style which reminds me of my childhood. The coffee is good. I tried the mille-feuille 👌🏼 the place dated back to 1898 could be considered a piece of history of the area. Good service and polite helpful staff.

I was invited by a friend to have a quick coffee and dessert at this place, and I was positively surprised when I entered the place.
Fresh bakery aroma all over the place, it was clean and neat, very good class of clientele enjoying their breakfast.
I had the best chocolate cake I had in years along with the very nice cafe latte and really enjoyed the start of my day.

Simonds have more than one location in Cairo, I have been to two of them, the one in Zamalk area is cozy and small, the other in downtown, both serve a very tasty food , they serve a high quality of French & oriental bakery, and amazing menu for lunch and dinner.
They also serve Sushi in Simonds Zayed branch,
Great service and the staff is nice & friendly.
What I really like about Simonds is, it always fresh & very good quality what ever they serve.
Don’t miss their cakes & desserts, it’s worth going .

In the heart of Cairo little place. Home made cakes, tarts and pastries, and “normal” cafe. Lavazza. Normal prices. (Cheaper then Costa and much better)
