There are El Shabrawy fast food joints all over Egypt and you can't go wrong stopping for a quick bite of delicious Egyptian food. You must try the Kushari - a mixture of rice, lentils, chickpeas and macaroni - which is unique to Egypt. Other typical Mediterranean fare such as falafel, baba ghanoush and hummus is also very good.
