I ate koshari and molokheya at this place. i liked the molakhayeh very very much but the koshari was so washed to the extent it has no flavor. the staff are so kind and helpful. i advice u to eat om ali as sweets and molakheya and food.

I took my wife there to spend our anniversary and everything was absolutely amazing, We started with a couple of drinks along with the appetizers then we ordered Roasted Lamb and the Veal Chunk and both of them was really delicious. At the end I smoked the Shisha. What more can you for?!

Abou Sid is an authentic Egyptian restaurant with branches located around Cairo. The Maadi Branch is quite serene with both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements. They offer many Egyptian dishes (molokheya, Circassian Chicken, stuffed pigeons, and many more. You can hear classical Egyptian music playing in the background (usually Om Kalthoum) and the walls are decorated with many classical Egyptian... More

Simple I went inside they were spraying all over the place to kill flies and maybe more as if they are in the desert . How can people eat or breath after using poison in the air and in the food. The place was much better before now you feel there is no management. The food was acreage but I... More

This place used to be the best place to offer authentic Egyptian food but have been going downhill for a good while now. I would not recommend it anymore as the food quality is really bad with the food being served always cold or re-heated. It's relatively expensive as well .

Good was amazing. More expensive than some but still a good deal for the quality and ambiance. The service started well but, got a little inattentive towards the end. Our shisha took so long to arrive we ended up cancelling it. Not easy to find but the locals in the area are more than willing to help you locate it.

I love this place. Whether it's a place to sit with a beer and a shisha and a book to unwind, or a place for a formal meal - this ticks all the boxes. Great food and friendly staff - though the waiters are a bit slow. Friendly cats. Sometimes other guests let their kids run round the place screaming,... More
