We came here after a recommendation and we ate the best thing ever at a very cheap price! It is similar to pasta but I promise you it will be also very different! A must go!

If you are in Cairo you have to visit here for true Koshary. It is amazing watching the chefs and how fast they are. It's worth visiting just for the show of them preparing the food.,

Abou Tarek is a take away place for the Egyptian national dish koshari, absolutely delicious this mixture of pasta and lentils with tomato sauce and a very hot sauce. Take the rice dessert to cool your gums, delicious, too, and soooo cheap.

Koshary is a typical delicious Egyptian food, which consists of various ingredients mixed in a pot (lentils, pasta, rice, tomatoes, fried onions, chick peas, etc), and is extremely filling!

This is a totally vegetarian dish and although we are meatlovers we loved it. The waiter who served us guided us how to eat it and it wouldn't have been so delicious otherwise. We don't recommend the special one as there was no significant difference...More
