Best dessert I had during my three weeks in Korea last summer. Sulbing was one of my favorite culinary experiences while in Seoul. The restaurant is classy and fun, great for couples and friends to share a dish and catch up. There were several fun...photo op spots, and the shaved ice desserts were amazing, especially the strawberry. The dishes are huge so you should plan to share one with one or more people.More

Bumped into this neat cafe selling Bingsu but accident. They have a variety of bingsu and have menus in English, Thai, Japanese and Chinese. Bingsu is delicious. They sell other snack items on top of Bingsu.

Despite it being 25 degrees F outside, I had to have some bingsu (sp?)! We ordered a strawberry variety off of the seasonal menu and it did not disappoint. I swear that one person cannot eat one by oneself, so buy one to share. The...staff was pleasant and patient with our inability to speak a lick of Korean. The cafe in Hongdae is on the 2nd floor so don't forget to "look up" when you are walking around Seoul. There are so many shops and cafes in packed into a condensed area that if I didn't look up, I would have missed it! LOLMore

Was recommended to try the desserts at Sulbing Korean Dessert cafe . We visited the outlet at Hongdae on a Sunday afternoon . The place was packed with young people and tourists. The cafe was big but was crammed with too many seats. There was...a wide variety of interesting desserts. We decided to order the Injeolmi toast as it was close to our country bread toast. The toast was nice and the filling was rich , though it was extremely sweet. It was an interesting experience.More

We LOVED the injeolmi toast, it was so damn good. The melon bingsu was a stand out. We had to return and on another day, ordered the strawberry bingsu and the tiramisu, those were nice as well. This cafe was a good find for us...as we were exploring Seoul. Would return when Im back in Korea!More

There are plethora of coffee shops all over South Korea. Apparently South Koreans don't use half and half in their coffee. Drip coffee is more expensive then latte and espresso. So most places don't even offer regular drip coffee. I don't like straight black coffee...so many coffee shops are able to accommodate me when I order a hot Americano, by offering to add small amount of milk. I visited this place, Sulbing at Hongdae, ordered my usual hot Americano. There was a large bottle of milk sitting on the counter. I asked the server if I could add a little of milk to my coffee, he responded gruffly "If you were going to add milk to it, why didn't you just ask for Latte instead?" and then he said "NO". He absolutely was not going to give me any. I would have offered some money for the milk I would be using but his response was so unexpected and uncalled for, the server was so rude, I was absolutely speechless. This totally ruined my trip to Korea. Be aware of going to this location and getting rude responses and terrible customer service!More

In Korea, a very popular dessert is Sulbing - a refreshing and delicious concoction of shaved ice, fruit, condensed milk, ice cream and cheese. The Korean Dessert Cafe makes one of the best in the country with different toppings to choose from. We chose Apple...Mango - fresh fruit , and all kinds of yumminess!More

Again this is a franchise that caters to young people and tourists. I would say almost everything without red beans in it is quite good to really good. But that is of course just my personal preference. However since this one is almost always full...it lol needs to be updated or remodeled, when you have so many customers inevitably it will have some wear and tear..More

If you ever visited to Korea, you must had try sulbing! Sulbing is a famous dessert cafe in Korea. Most of people visit Sulbing when they want to eat dessert. This day, I and my friend went shopping in Hongdae. After that, we decided to...go sulbing to have a dessert and take a rest. The Sulbing in Hongdae in located on second floor, and the store is big. Although it is big, sometimes the seats might be full because the business is really good. When we entered the cafe, we saw a huge bear sitting on a bench at the entrance. A lot of people taking photos with it. The season menu for snowflake is peach and mango sulbing. We ordered Apple Mango Cheese Sulbing. The sulbing comes with a little cup of concentrate milk. I like eating with milk, but for those who do not like to eat too sweet, can eat without adding milk. The snowflake is soft and sweet. There are a scope of vanila ice cream, a lot of cheese pieces and mangos in it. I like the cheese, the mango is a bit hard and sour, but it is still nice. The portion is quite big, one is enough for 2 to 3 person. Recommend the season fruit menu because you will only have the chance to eat it during the season. The environment in sulbing is always noisy because there's always a lot of customers. You can go for dessert, but I think it is not suitable if you want to find a place to rest and chit chat with your friends.More
