The food, service, and price are all disappointing. Everything was way more expensive then anywhere else in Korea. After 12 hours of not eating I thought I would love anything I ate, but this place definitely proved me wrong.
The worst part has to be...the service. They just don't care here. When I noticed the bimbimbap I ordered didn't come with sauce I tried to flag down a waiter (there is no call button), but everybody just walked around with their heads down. When I finally got a waitress's attention she acknowledged me, gave a menu to another table, then somehow instantly forgot about me and walked away. When we tried to pay the bill we were waved to go pay at the front desk, where nobody was waiting. We just paid the bill, put it on the counter, and left.
Just don't eat here. Go buy some street food, it'll taste better and be 50x cheaper.More
not sure what happen with the management here, there aren't that many ppl in the restaurant while everywhere else is packed (that is the reason we ate here!). anyhow, their set menu looks good on photo but taste like rubber. Beef BBQ is not hot...(they claim it was BBQ in the kitchen, somehow I doubt it). The salty-fish is a joke. Everything else is as if coming out of 7-eleven shelf. Service is minimum.More
We asked our concierge at Westin to call for a 8 PM reservation. We were told the restaurant close early and could take us at 7 PM. We said fine. When we arrived, we were the only guest and shortly after arrival, all the dishes,...hot, cold, side dishes were served all at once. The service was barely cordial and this was the worst and most expansive meal we had on our three day visit to the city.More
When in Seoul I always pay a visit to this traditional woodden restaurant in Seoul downtown. It is conveniently located in a back street in the crowdy area of Insa Dong. You'll be served with korean food and will enjoy a real korean dinner trying...also several kind of KimtchiMore
This is a restaurant that I try to eat at every time I'm in Seoul - for business or pleasure. I've always gone with local relatives, friends and colleagues, and it's always a delight.
Food is traditional, and they have their own style, which is...nice. Would highly recommend it if you like Korean food, especially their cheonggukchang (stinky fermented tofu stew) - just wonderful.More
This restaurant made it into the guidebook we were using, so we were all excited to try it. Unfortunately, it ended up being absolutely the worst meal of our entire 10 days in S. Korea. The service was unfriendly, the food seemed stale and not...at all to the standards of wonderful Korean food, the place looked dirty and worn down, and we were almost the only people there. The cheaper set meal cost about $85 per person, so for the two of us it was a painful experience.More
Tucked away in a back street - pretty traditional wooden Korean restaurant with dining in small private rooms. Food was traditional but excellent quality. We went with a native who knew what he was f=doing as well so this is not the tourist view.... At...te expensive end... Also highly recommended by Time Out and considered by those in the know in Seoul to be one of the best traditional Korean restaurants in town.More
our 1st visit to Seoul and in a special area, winding streets and nice souvenirs, not junky. felt like old Korea. doore was beautiful in simple, traditional Korean way. food was mediocre, I would say a tourist trap. expensive and wait staff and hostess waiting...for us to leave as they had coats and scarves on. It was not the lingering, delicious meal we were hoping for.More
