The burritos at Taco Chilli Chilli are fantastic. This restaurant was a frequent stop of mine whenever I was in Seoul and I will continue to visit here every time I come back.

I love their chicken enchilada, and I find an excuse to eat here every time I'm in Seoul. The atmosphere is very relaxed, and it's particularly nice to duck in here for lunch or dinner during one of Seoul's numerous summertime thunderstorms.

It's serviceable as a Mexican restaurant. It used to be one of the best in Seoul, but that was before the Mexican boom in 2012. Other have surpassed it in quality, but its taco al pastor is still great.

Taco Chili Chili used to be one of the better Mexican places around, but with the addition of Don Charly, Vatos, and Coreanos within a 10-minute walk, it's still consistently good but not as good at those other places. It is still a regular favorite for the neighborhood.

I frequent this place about once every month or two. I usually get a burrito - which is more of a soft taco - for lunch every now and again when I'm tired of going to other places in the area. Everything available isn't "great", but it's also not offensive. Therefore, if you're in the mood for a quick fix... More

For the most part I really liked this place. My major issue is that like many Mexican places in Korea that its very koreanised.

Outstanding food, very reasonable prices. We had the burrito and enchiladas and both were perfectly done. A lot of seating upstairs so we were able to quickly get a table even though it was Friday night. Great place to visit in Itaewon if you are looking for quality Mexican food at good prices.

Excellent Burritos and Enchiladas. The new upstairs area has a fireplace and additional seating. Coming from the US I was thrilled to disover this.

I've been a fan of Mr. Kim's for more than 7 years - since before he moved to his present location in the Gyeongnidan area just north of Itaewon - and I'm still a fan even though the owner, who lived in Mexico City for some time before opening the joint - doesn't prepare much food anymore. Overall, you get... More

Staying in Itaewon

Neighborhood Profile
Neighboring the immense Yongsan American Garrison, Itaewon was once shunned by locals as a seedy, red light district. But within the past few years, Itaewon and its surrounding neighborhoods such as Kyunglidan and Haebangchong have undergone a major revival to quickly become one of Seoul’s hottest areas. Here, trendy international restaurants dot the area alongside hip lounge bars and some of Seoul’s hottest club venues. After dark, Itaewon comes into its own as one of Seoul’s top party scenes. The crowd is a fascinating patchwork of all backgrounds and identities, including a small but thriving Muslim community (centered on Korea’s sole mosque), the LGBT community (with a string of popular bars and clubs), and a wide range of ethnicities and cultures scattered around. Those seeking a quiet respite should head towards the eastern end, in Hannam-dong, which not only has one of Korea’s best art museums, the Leeum Samsung Museum of Art, but plenty of mid-range to upscale restaurants and cafes.
