We did a wine tasting with food. The maitre d' explained the uniqueness of how Georgian wine is made, and some information about each wine. We did not feel rushed in any way. The place has a nice relaxed vibe, and is 100m walk from...Freedom/ Liberty Square. We recommend this place.More

We had a nice selection of four Georgian wines, although some of the bottles were probably open for a bit longer than should be acceptable for a wine tasting. The place itself seems to aim for a hipster vibe, but from our Brooklyn/Portland point of...view misunderstands hipsterdom as lack of warmth. This was our first day in Georgia and I was still navigating the etiquette of using the two languages I could communicate in, Russian and English. After an initial conversation in Russian, which is preferred by many Georgians, the waitress made clear she preferred English, which of course was understandable and completely fine, especially given the complex relationship between Georgia and Russia. That being said, we weren't greeted in English, Russian or Georgian as we walked in. It felt as if the staff were surprised to even have clients. We've had a similar experience in a couple places (Georgians don't seem to do "front of the house", which is very confusing for a foreigner), but in this case the sense of confusion and abandonment basically continued throughout the tasting. It felt as if we did something wrong by walking in and asking for some wine.More

I really liked this place. It's a wine bar located in a cellar, and they often have live music, including local rock and punk bands. The server, who was American but has lived in Georgia for a while, gave me a bunch of great recommendations...for glasses of red to dry and none of them disappointed. Will definitely be back the next time I'm in Tbilisi.More

We loved this place so much we came back three times in six days. The wine list is amazing and the glasses and bottles are very well priced. The tasting was especially good value. All the staff have an excellent knowledge of the wine and...were ready to make affordable suggestions whenever we asked.More

A very good experience here! Did two wine tastings, with amber wine and red wine. The service was slow but that's all.

We tasted four wines and shared a cheese platter. The wines were a bit too bland for pour taste, but the cheeses were tasty.

Vino underground has good music &atmosphere, snacks are also available. From the tasting menu, the server provided a selection of natural wines, however did not provide an explanation and also disappointingly only half were tasty. We tasted many other 'natural' wines from other shops +...bars which were more to our taste - but perhaps others will enjoy the flavour of these.More

We walked in and there was only one table of people who had already been served. We asked for a wine tasting experience, to which she (lady who speaks excellent English) promptly brought over 4 glasses, 4 bottles, said ‘Good luck remembering these because I’m...going to serve them all at that the same time.’ She gave us a sentence on each one, one of which was ‘this one is more acidic than the next red.’ She was arrogant, careless of our experience and didn’t once come over to ask whether we were enjoying it or if we needed anything. We were in there for 15 mins and when we left she had the audacity to charge us 15% service charge- we are still trying to understand what that was actually for. A shame as it is a lovely place decor wise. Needless to say it is not recommended.More
