Walking back from the Beeline office at 14 Shota Rustaveli, I decided to stop by for a late lunch/early dinner. I have been wanting to have soup "kharcho" for a week already and finally my chance arrived. I would rank it as very good just...shy of excellent. Fresh herbs and spices were used and there was some meat on the bone -- some of it a bit fatty but I could live with that. The "kharcho" was a tad too salty and a tad too sour but still earned a very good rating. I added some black pepper from the pepper shaker on the table. The black pepper was not very fresh. I regretted that I did not pack my pepper grinder with fresh black and assorted colored peppers. I indulged in two portions of "kharcho;" only the first with bread. The bread was fresh. Portion size of the "kharcho" I would characterize as medium; of the bread, ample. I ate on the ground floor; a few waitresses were sitting not far from me as, at 530-6pm, the restaurant was not crowded. I found them attentive and friendly. They spoke Russian and English, as well as Georgian, of course. I tried to order in Georgian; good practice for me and, since I knew what I wanted, there was no need to look at a menu. My experience there was good - albeit limited to soup "kharcho" and one bottle of borjomi. I would go again for the same and, particularly, at the same time -- especially since it is less than 1 km from the hotel I am staying at (although parts of the road are all torn up detracting from the stroll). As a solo traveler, I do not want to go to large, crowded venues where service would likely be slow and I might even be ignored in favor of bigger parties. Prefer to maintain some social distance, get served reasonable fast, eat and not linger -- at 530-6pm you can manage that at Khinkali. Last worth mentioning is that the check came to 36 lari and 4 tetri. I paid in cash with a 100 lari note. What was funny was that I received back 63 lari and 90 or 95 tetri (I couldn't be bothered to count the small change) rather than just giving me back 74 lari and forgetting about the 4 tetri. Accordingly, I left with a pocket of small change but I tipped the waitress 5 lari as she was attentive.More

They don’t even care I’m sitting here for an hour and they do not response what happened to my order. Will never recommend this place. I thought it’s a nice restaurant according to the appearance but it’s not!

Nobody came to pick up our order, nobody even looked at us. After 20 minutes sitting and waiting (we hot escorted to thr table, though!) we got a menu and no matter what we did (they even had a button to call for service -...nothing happened still) after that no one served us. Never going back and neither should you. After reading the reviews this is not the first time. Across the street is McDonald’s, wink, wink.More

Extremely rude staff. We politely asked to change our table before the food was served as the music was too loud. We got a very rude rejection from two waiters: Nino & Camilo. Administration has been informed about this situation. When we explained the situation...to the administration, we heard Camilo swearing in Turkish language about us.More

The staff isn’t polite as in many places in Georgia. Nobody speaks English. Service is awful. They serve our order partly. The other part they brought when we were already going out.

Too loud. Good service, fast and polite. The food is good, but shashlik and ribs are chewy. House wine was very pleasant. After all a good place to have a friend's meeting.

If you want a taste of a great traditional food of Georgia, or even a quick and simple dinner, this is NOT the place. ( I recommend going to Mukhambazi and Sormoni where you will be served by a 5-star professionals). Take it from a...NYC foodie and go elsewhere. Khinkali House doesn’t want customers, the hostess/manager was very rude and didn’t know their current Covid policies.More

We came here after an exhausting day. The place is always full with people and quite noisy. A live singer adds to that, so don‘t expect a cosy or romantic restaurant. This place is focused on cheap but very tasty Kinkhali!! We tried other dishes...as well which were all ok (but nothing special) but really fell in love with their Kinkhali! If you are a lover of the Georgian dumplings this is the place to go!More

I am not sure if the kinkhali/dumpling itself made with egg ingridient or not, but the filling with mushrooms no egg or meat. They have seperate kinkhali with meat filling
