Pork shashlik was really bad and very dry. I can get better shashlik in any restaurant in Moscow. Service is fine, we didn't try any other dishes though.

We had a dinner for 9 in this restaurant, recommended by a Georgian friend living abroad. It is quite costly according to local standards, we paid cca. 300 USD in total, but consuming a number of bottles of wine and 2 rounds of brandy. The food was correct, better than in a typical tourist zone place, the service friendly.

General atmosphere in the cafe is very good, good music etc. The prices are pretty high, which I cannot say about the quality of the service in there. We asked for the tea but they said that they didn't have enough pots, even though the place wasn't full. And waiters are pretty slow.

One of the best cafes in town - if not the best. Live music Nice decorations Service pleasant and friendly Visited 3 times at 3 different occasions. First time: night cap - waiter good to suggest cocktails and mixed drinks. One last drink became 3. Second visit: party - good food Third visit: family visit coffee and cheese cake.

It was almost empty on a summer afternoon. We were on Chardin Str and just landed there almost by accident - without choosing long. Ordered wine and ice-cream, and it cost as a full-sized family lunch. The inside interior is really nice, but it doesn't make it worth the price.

Right there on one of the main streets of the old town, this small, typical Georgian dining room has a collection of interesting knick knacks adorning the walls, old musical instruments, a stuffed pheasant, brass candle sticks, old sepia photographs which all make for a very cosy atmosphere. Its menu is Georgian/European. We had Chanaki khachapuri, a super delicious cheesepie,... More

I read some of these reviews after we had gone to 12 rue Chardin and could not believe what I was reading. I had chanakhi a lamb aubergine garlic and tomato dish served in a clay pot. It was delicious. My partner went for pork medallions with tomato mushroom and cheese and rosemary potatoes and since we had been all... More

Sometimes the heavy Georgian main dishes of stuffed breads/dumplings etc. can get tedious. This cosy little restaurant in a popular lane of old Tbilisi offers a welcome change. We had excellent steaks and great salads with Georgian walnut dressings. The décor and atmosphere are also good, as is the selection of wines.

High quality Georgian and European food, great wines, quick service, very nice location in one of the most popular and lively streets of the old city. Fantastic to sit outside in the summer with wine and food platter too. But do try Georgian meals and their great Greek salad.

Another honest food review... this time from Tbilisi. Oh God. We were unwelcome to the nice looking location with grins and eye rolls. We ordered our food excited to taste the so called nectar of the Caucaus. I started with the chicken soup which took 45 minutes to bring to the table. It was watered down and had no chicken... More
