As 8000 Vintages has got a few locations, this one is about the place at Tsintsadze sulkhanis k. 26. First time we came here, we did the wine tasting, you can read about in my previous reviews. Really enjoyed it, so we came back! This...time for a casual evening over some food and wine, to crown our holiday in Georgia. We sat outside and it was lovely! There is no view, but you are so into your wine and food, you don’t need any haha! Ordered a cheeseboard and a ham board. I also discussed the wine options with the lady inside the shop, based on what we like drinking and she made her recommendations. It was a perfect match! Everything was lovely. My only tip will be the waiting staff working outside. There was a very young girl who was scared to come up to us. We waited and waited until I came to discussed the wines inside and placed the order there. The food came very promptly and the girl was fine afterwards, she spoke very good English, so that wasn’t her initial issue. A bit more approach would be perfect!More

We went to the branch close to Rustaveli Avenue looking for a wine tasting since some friends were visiting the city, but they didn't have that service, so they send us to another branch and it was definitely worth it! It was 45 gel per...person, I think it's 70 gel for only one person, but we were four in total. Natia, the sommelier, was very knowledgeable and nice! She asks you what wines do you usually like and then she takes it from there. I went to Kakheti a couple of days after this tasting and I definitely enjoyed it more in 8000 Vintages that on the wine cellars, the wine was much better and it definitely helps to have a lovely sommelier willing to find your type of wine. The tasting included a board with yummy churchkela, some cold meats, cheese and bread. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone!More

We visited with my family in December 2021 at Irakli Abashidze Street. The place was impressively curated, the moment you will enter, it speaks about it's name 8000 Vintages. We enjoyed the cheese boards. The sommelier walks us through the different kinds of wine, starting...from the smell and taste plus the difference of the wine when it's aired. He presented to us the different wine of the region plus he added another wine since he learned that we prefer a slightly sweeter wine. Then we end up with a photo souvenir with him. He is such a gentleman. Definitely we recommend trying this place for tourist but make sure you book it advance.More

I want to leave you a review after visiting your place at. S. Tsintsandze St. 26. It was the worst service I have ever seen. An hour of waiting for an order that was simply forgotten. Spoiled evening and a lot of negative emotions. Either...the attitude is based on nationality, or the absolute lack of professionalism of your employees. In any case, for me in general, the place was an absolute disappointment.More

Upon coming to Tbilisi, we really wanted to do a proper wine tasting and learn more about Georgian wines. I googled some places and this one came up with really nice reviews, thought I would give it a go.! The 8000 Vintages has 4 locations...and we visited the one at Tsintsadze Sul., based on someone else’s great review on TripAdvisor. I booked a night before on the website and put in description we will be looking to spend some time with sommelier and try the tasting board. You should book if you require someone’s time otherwise they can be busy with bookings. When we arrived, sat down, Natia came to introduce herself and ask us what type of wines we like, so we learn and enjoy ourselves at the same time! We went for 2x European style Georgian wines and 2x Classic Georgian style. Natia spent an hour explaining the wines, answering our questions and pairing the wines with a delicious board we had included in our experience. The time went very fast and we absolutely loved it! Natia was excellent at her performance, speaks really great English, she’s got very bubbly personality! The quality of the tasting board was fab and the wines were proper size pour! After the pairing, Natia left us to finish of plenty of wine we had left, we ordered a bit more food (other boards as there was so much to choose from!). We ended up buying some wines at the end and scheduled another visit! To sum up: PLUSES: - massive selection of wines - our sommelier was excellent (Natia) - plenty of seating indoors and outdoors - the boards are massive and amazing quality - you don’t have to know anything about wines to have fun! - can turn into fun learning or just dinner out with wine! MINUSES: - none?! (Pictures uploaded: our tasting board, some wines- there are thousands more and the extra boards we have ordered that night- ham board and foreign cheeses board- way over ordered but was so good!)More

My friend and I were in Georgia for a short holiday, and we were told 8000 Vintage was a *must do* in Tbilisi. Naturally, we were excited! However, this excitement was short-lived. We made a reservation (which in hindsight should have been our first red...flag as we were treated as if we were nuisances). We arrived timely for our reservation at the restaurant and were seated straight away. After watching the waiting staff walk past us and ignore us for 30 minutes, we approached the young woman at the counter. She then took us for the wine testing where we were only allowed to sample 2 wines and were told to make our order (different experience to how this place was sold to us). Finally, we sat down, ordered our wine and food. Our wine came to us promptly (giving us a false sense of hope). We then started the waiting game once again…after 45 minutes we approached the waiting staff to ask where our food board was (bear in mind they only serve platters which would take less than 10 mins to prepare). Our food did indeed come out 10 mins later. Granted the Mexican board we had was delicious, it was not worth the now 1.5 hours we had had to wait. Overall, this experience was disappointing and unfortunately, I would not recommend this restaurant to others.More

We made a special effort to go over to 8000 vintages but when we got there they said that a) tastings are only lead by their sommelier and they were busy right now; b) you have to book tastings in advance (but how do you...do that?, I guess we could have called); and c) they had reservations coming in an hour so they couldn't offer us anything at all. I guess we caught a bad night but we felt very unwelcomed and won't make the effort again.More

My husband and I visited 8000 Vintages for a wine tasting. The store itself is full floor to ceiling with wine and is very appeasing on the eyes. The Sommelier asked us what type of wine we like and then he picked some out for...us to try. We had a snack board of cheese, wine and fruit to pair with the wine as well which was a lovely (and delicious) touch. In all we tried eight different wines: One white, three amber, and four red. The variety of flavours was amazing and we really enjoyed chatting with the Sommelier about Georgian wines and life in Georgia in general. Would highly recommend this experience to wine lovers staying in Tbilisi.More

This was our second visit to 8000 Vintage but now at the new address. But this was as good as before. Very taste wine at very reasonable price, good plates with snacks and warm atmosphere... the place was almost full but not noisy at the...same time. We fully enjoyed the time we spent there. And we will come again.More

This place is a wine lovers dream - they offer a HUGE array of local wines that will suite the palate of an experienced sommelier or a beginner wine enthusiast. Even if you aren't knowledgeable about wine at all, the consultants are more than happy...to do their best to explain which is super nice and helpful for people looking to explore georgian wine. A very slight nitpick - the wines are packed so tightly together without any actual protection to help them not fall off the shelves i get nervous just picking up a bottle off the shelf.More

Me and my Husband are wine lovers and we were of course interested in learning everything we could about Georgian wines. We booked a wine tasting with Zaza and it was not only funny and educational but he made it a point to understand what...we like and find recommendations of wines never looking to get more money of out us but concern about us enjoying our time. The board they have are great specially recommend the Tuscany board is brilliant. I would like to thank specially Natia, who attended to us on our last visit ( we went more than once ) and showed not only great knowledge about wines but an amazing cultural background and helped us with our choices, she even knew what we were allowed to bring to Dubai. In short, If you love wine and want to enjoy a nice evening with your love ones. Please visit.More
