its very out of the way, from the main road, its another 200m into the small lane. you need the hotel staff to tell the driver where is the location, if not call the restaurant to talk to the driver on the mobile. great décor and ambience, building of an old colonial house. food was great, wine list is impressive... It's not so easy to find the restaurant as it's not beside the road, you may better to ask the hotel staff to help you to talk to the taxi driver first. Outdoor is stunning, but if you want to sit there, better to spray mosquito repellent in advance. We ate the meal originally outdoor but later on switched to... More

Great grounds and decor. Food marvellously presented. A fine wine list. The entrees and deserts were excellent. The Cheeseboard was well stocked and perhaps we chose unwisely as the cheese was unremarkable. Service was faltering, as if no staff had been assigned to our table. The restaurant was busy. Reservation recommended.

Excellent quality and representative using good materials?. The whole ambiance is great as old colonial house you can eat inside or under the cloisters / veranda whihc has a more relaxed feel. In dry season eating in the garden which rolls down to the lake would be delightful.

Our group had diner here. We were lucky to be seated outside near the garden. Wonderful views of the sunset and after sundown the lighting of the restaurant was perfect. The food was very high standard and the chef tried a mix of Asian and French cuisine, which worked wonderfully. Service was OK but one notices that hotel schools are... More

I had heard and read a lot about this restaurant and actually visited to make a reservation - since I was inviting very special guests for dinner. The ambience was certainly nice. The quality of food was good – not exceptional. However, the servings for the entire course were a surprise – even by French standards, including for a glass... More

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We usually have really attentive service staff, ready to please the customers for anything they would like, but it seems that night was not the case and we do apologize for this lack of attention. In regards of the portion, our Chef being French and who also loves to eat,... More

Personally, we felt more at ease eating in the bistro, not too formal. Placed outside, with the tables under the lodge at the light of the candles. We found so original and different the presentation of the bistro menu, printed and served like a newspaper. Really nice! All the courses that we tried were really tasty and conquered our palate.My... More

Lovely setting but as we ate in the bistro we had to tolerate the seating in what essentially is the car port for arriving guests. The staff were nice but not up to the usually friendly style we have become used to in Myanmar. The food looked amazing, I had the Gambas, they were huge but had no taste at... More

We thought that this place was going to be a hit, however sadly we were mistaken. The food was over prices for the lukewarm meal we received. The building was beautiful and the decor was amazing. There is a nice little gift shop on the main floor.

WE HAVE MOVED TO 80 UNIVERSITY AVENUE. Le Planteur opens a new restaurant on Inya Lake, at 80 University Road. Le Planteur (Inya Lake) upgraded even more to the next standard of finesse in quality, standard and ambience!! And so, Le Planteur (Inya Lake) remains faithful to its concept, in a stunningly attractive venue!! It is an exciting and wonderful evolution and change for Le Planteur - but the things you and I love about Le Planteur have not changed. A new Chef arrived at Le Planteur! The team is proud to welcome Chef Gil Dumoulin who will be in charge of the fine dining restaurant.
