Our family love their meal. Not expansive (in Yangon price standard, usually good alien restaurants are expansive in Yangon). Some German beers always made me happy.

Go have a look at the latest menu. Try the Mahlzeit Platter & the cold cuts platter. Or the Curryworst 😍 🙏🙏🙏

Although food is not the most well and internationally recognized thing from Germany, like engineering and bureaucracy, there are still some authentic German dishes you could have included in the menu. A German restaurant without even a potato salad but döner kebap? C'mon guys! I...tried a schnitzel and it was smelling and did not taste very good. My stomach burned all night. When I first arrived to Yangon, one of the people I met told me that Yangon was a city with rip off restaurants where average food is served with high prices. I start to understand what he meant by that. 5 stars to your staff though, who go out of their way to assist you with highest level of kindness.More

my wife and I are a big fan of Mahlzeit. loved the kebab, the currywurst, the bread basket, the schorle - we've had a great time and the food was super tasty. now, if you're in Yangon only for a few days - PLEASE eat...local food. but if you're living in the Burma/Thailand area (like us), treat yourself to some western deliciousnesses.More

If German food is your thing go visit Mahlzeit. I'm not a big fan. However the craft beers are excellent.....

Tasty food and very good location in the middle of yangon. Real German taste for the Schnitzel and other platters as well. Their service is so good plus they have a big variety of drinks.

Have tried several times with friends both for lunch and dinner. Positive: 1) Food was good, especially the flavourful flat bread, complimentary warm pretzels, sausages, yummy pork skewers, and stew. 2) Generous portion and reasonably price 3) Cosy ambiance, not too uptight 4) Location is...quite central and easy to find 5) Servers can speak good English Negative 1) Ordered a bottle of wine during dinner. Came highly recommended by the server but it was not satisfactory enough. No choice but to finish it. Will definitely dine again.More

The soup was very good so the meats. Not exactly the type of diet I’d personally have in hot places daily but once in a while won’t harm. The meats in this “for 2 plate” were all good excepted the one with tomato sauce and...peperoni, really a too thick sauce, it seemed they cooked the bell peppers in a ketchup sauce to give you an idea. The bad point is that I found an thick black hair under the meat, I reported this to the waitress that blandly apologized, but obviously they don’t wear a kitchen’ hat so better they take it seriously and start wearing it. It is a pity because I wanted to rate this place higher.More

Mahlzeit is the only German Restaurant in Yangon and it serves good and authentic German Food. The atmosphere of the restaurant is a bit cold though.

Having been there a few times, this is indeed a great concept and comes to fill a gap as proper German food was missing in Yangon. I give 3 stars however as the place could really be better, by stepping up a notch the German...identity, ambiance and improving the service which sometimes seems clueless of what they serve. Don't expect to enjoy the warm atmosphere of a typical German feast where you will spend hours zipping beers, but I still recommend the place if you crave for wurst and pretzels. I add that I will keep coming for the love of German food, hoping that someday this will part will add up!More
