Pros: 1) Easy to locate and easy to park. Visited the shop couple of times for dinner. 2) Service is excellent, efficient, and fast 3) Menu is extensive as it offers dishes from different states in Myanmar 4) Shop and toilet are clean. Shop is...spacious. Good for groups. 5) Portioning is good for 2 persons 6) Prices are affordable 7) Food is quality - tasteful and fresh Cons 1) Some dishes can be very spicy. Inform your server if you want it to be mild. Highly recommended! Two thumbs up!More

I have eaten here several times and have been impressed by the consistency, range of Myanmar cooking (I recommend the salads and Shan State chicken in particular). Service is speedy and efficient, making it a good place for a business lunch, although many tourists also...choose to eat here.More

The best one in Yangon! We had visited to Taing Yin Thar restaurant few times while in Yangon. This is the only one stop place in Yangon that we can find 7 different ethnic styles of dishes of Burmese traditional foods. Though this is a...Burmese traditional restaurant, I’m surprised to see that they offer many variety of foods even there is a menu for the vegetarians. We can choose the selected fine wines as well. Enough car parks, well trained staffs, clean and quality foods, comfy & cozy. I couldn’t find any one like Taing Yin Thar Restaurant in Yangon.More

I was with my family members and Myanmese friends. They recommended us the restaurant and dishes. We really enjoyed “sat thar chauk” (venison jerky), “gaw ra khar nyunt”( fried gourd leaves), “kyat khar chin” (banana blossom salad), mashed corn, mashed potatoes and a beautiful platter...of traditional food. The meal was a combination of different fresh flavours. The service was very good and the price tag was slightly over S$13 a person. It was an excellent meal at a reasonable price.More

Compared with other Burmese restaurants, this one is ripped off. The foods that they served were common. Would recommend you to choose other Burmese restaurants.

Lovely restaurant for dinner after long hours of Yangon explorations. Air conditioning room is quite nice to relax. Beef and fish are good. Parking space available.

Just dined there tonight and we thoroughly enjoyed the local cuisine at this restaurant. The service was very friendly and the food was delicious. Home made spicy sausage was wonderful and so were the assortment of noodles. Curries were excellent as well. Definitely a memorable...dining experience. Banana desert was fabulous but was already too full to enjoy the whole dish.More

We went here expecting, as we had been told, authentic Myanmar fare. We were not disappointed. You go up a few steps and enter through glass doors into this huge room laid out with tables and the bar to the far left. The place is...well lit. That’s a plus sign because it enables you first to read the menu and then to see the food that you are eating! The place has a “fresh” feel to it. We were offered a plate of small peanuts to begin with. Service was excellent. The food was delicious- as the pictures here will testify.More

The decor of the restaurant is a bit bland, with no atmosphere really; and location is far from city center. That being said, the food here, authentic Burmese, is really excellent. Fresh, varied, tasty. And very reasonably priced.

Sit-down restaurant with AC and decent wait staff - slow at times- to get introduced to the various cuisines of Myanmar. I have been there a couple of times and enjoyed the experience each time. The big tray/platter is recommended for a group to get...a taste of several cooking styles in one sitting. You can ask the staff to adjust the level of spiciness as some ethnic dishes can be quite hot.More

Better reserve as sometimes it can be crowded with tour group. You can reserve by phone. Tables next to the facade glass are nice.
