About
K & A Exotic Thai at the Horizon View is the well known and appreciated Thai cuisine of Kesorn and has stunning views over the Port Vila Bay. The Exotic Thai Restaurant is open Monday to Saturday for lunch and dinner, and on Sunday for dinner only. Every Thursday night there is a curry buffet (all you can eat) for VT2500. Lunch Special on Monday to Saturday.

The roast lamb with the tamarind sauce and green pawpaw salad was the favorite of the night. Very good vegetarian and vegan options. They also had a yummy local desert. The view from the deck is the icing on the cake.

Our family of six (for kids in their twenties and two parents) had dinner one rainy February night.
We sat down and had a few cocktails which were just what we needed to start off.
Then the food came and impressed us even more. The steamed whole snapper was sublime, the duck curry deliciousand the papaya salad was perfectly spicy - just the way we like it!
But wait! There's more!!
Then came the desserts.
Fried ice cream!!!! And a much better coating than what we've had before in Australia. Absolute show stopper.
And although they were out of mango to go with the sticky rice, they gave us other options and we had lychees with our sweet, coconut milk drenched rice and it was a winner.
And it was a really lovely touch to have the owner (Kesorn?) come out from the kitchen to make sure everything was ok and we got to rave to her how happy we were with our feast.
Overall, it was a great night with delicious food and drink.

This was recommended by an expat and a few others. So glad we went. Watched the sunset over the bay and ate fresh and tasty entrees and mains. My daughter had the fried ice cream to finish...I had a bite and it was sensational. Customer service second to none. Will be back again and no hesitation in recommending.

I'm disappointed in myself for only trying out this restaurant at the end of my trip to Vanuatu. I was curious whether a Thai restaurant all the way in Vanuatu would be good, but thought there was a decent chance if the proprietors were Thai themselves, which didn't seem unusual in Efate. I even asked three times whether the 'Thai spicy' rating means like in actual Thailand, for real, and not adjusted for tourists from non-spicy cuisine countries. (My preference as someone from neighbouring Malaysia is just one step below real 'Thai spicy', but I'll max it out if the scale has been adjusted.) It was, indeed, the real scale, and the tom yam was delicious.
However, the service was quite slow. Fortunately for me, I had lots of time that day, and it was raining anyway.

We had dinner twice and if Kesorn had a restaurant in Sydney we would definitely eat there repeatedly. The pad thai, beef salad, red curry with chicken and green papaya salad all had balanced flavours and pungency when needed. The elevated location is very enjoyable. Service was a bit slow, but we were on holiday so didn't fuss.

Don’t go unless you have loads of time.
Maybe they were short staffed with Vanuatu only having recently reopened? Drinks and dinner took forever. We asked for water when we first arrived, we asked for it again when the food FINALLY arrived and only received water just as we were about the leave - well over an hour later.
Food was good, but nothing to write home about. We ordered drinks, appetizers and full dinners. I asked for yellow curry and rice. I received green curry and no rice.
The view was lovely.

This restaurant was recommended to us from friends who had been here multiple times. We arrived at sunset and experienced a stunning view of the sunset overlooking the Port Vila Bay. Service was friendly and the food was spot on. Off the beaten path a bit but so worth it.

The food here is just so outstanding. The best Thai food we’ve ever had outside of Thailand! Light, beautiful, so flavoursome. Cute little place with beautiful views and lovely staff. Definitely come along!

None there but me on a Thursday night. Prices might reflect why. Expensive for normal Thai food. Better value elsewhere. Unless you desperate for normal Thai, go elsewhere. The view was as stated, but only 3 tables have that direct view. I wouldn't bother going back can get better food elsewhere. The waitress was lovely.

Discovered this restaurant on tripadvisor and expected great things. My wife and I both had prawn dishes and they were both luke warm. My dish had a large serve of rice and the vegetables were mainly carrots ,broccoli and onion. This was not a cheap dinner and I felt somewhat let down.

we came in 2019 and were impressed, we were hoping that exotic thai had come through covid ok. they are thriving! same scrumptious food and great service plus that view! everyone enjoyed their food

I was dubious about having Thai in Vila but thought I would give it a go anyway as it was recommended by a local. I was blown away! It was fantastic! For mains we had the Chilli Beef and a Red Chicken Curry, we ordered hot and that is exactly what we got! They use the Asian scale of spicy, so be warned!
It was nearly full on a Thursday night and the service was still good.
Oh and the view of the Bay is one of the best in Town.

Went to this restaurant a couple of times and both times didn’t disappoint. Lots of different options beautiful flavours and lovely and fresh .
Staff are friendly and welcoming, would highly recommend.

Best meal we have had in Port Vila since arriving 8 days ago. Highly recommend. We will be heading back there before we go home. It was so fresh and lots to choose from.
