We ate here on the first night we got to the resort and didn't eat there again as there was plenty of other alternatives around Port Villa. The food was ok, but nothing special. They did do a buffet type meal which I didn't try.

You can find so much more variety in Port Vila however if you are staying at holiday inn the kids eat here for free before 4pm. We found the food choices to be lacking at the holiday inn. We were talking to the general manager and he informed us there is a new pizza oven being delivered soon to add... More

We stayed at the Holiday Inn for 8 nights. Breakfasts were fantastic - Joe made the most delightful omelettes. The first night we made the mistake of ordering from the menu, rather than the buffet. The service was extremely slow. Presentation was good, but the food was dry and overcooked. On two other occasions we had the buffet - a... More

Ate here each night while staying at the Holdiday Inn Resort. For a quieter dinner go at 8pm or later.

We stayed at the Holiday in for 6 nights so got good experience of here. Great view over the lagoon. There will be lots of kids as it is a family resort. We mostly done the buffet which was great as it was always changing (new theme every night) and food was fresh. But 1 night we did order of... More

To be honest was looking for some wow, there is a mention of winning a restaurant challenge, those staff must have had the night off, we sent our food back because one was cold and the other under cooked. Told by numerous people that they were short staff and the kitchen was having problems.

The food on offer depends on the night of the week, but the buffet is fantastic value. Good western type foods, but also a carvery on Sunday with taro and local vegetables. The meat is great, and greens or salads. Well worthwhile - wines will set you back about $24AUD plus for Aussie varieties.

The breakfast is so big it can take days to taste everything. A huge variety of local fresh fruits as well as some of the comforts of home. What a great way to start the day! The dinner is just as good. Highly recommend the pork belly and the local Tassiriki Paradise dessert. Yum! Different buffet each night so never... More

We only ate here once even though we stayed at the Holiday Inn. What we did have was quite good (Barramundi & the Pork Belly) but nothing else really appealed to us on the menu to make us go back again as we didn't want to spend so much money on food. We found out that as an IHG employee,... More

It was nice to be able to sit in air-conditioned comfort if you wished. The evening buffet meals were very similar to our type of food, I was hoping for more local type food. The good thing was that there was a ala carte menu if you didn't want to have the buffet.

Hello 265joyW. Thank your for your recent review of Verandah restaurant. As you noted we have 2 separate areas in the restaurant, one which is open for those that enjoy the tropical breeze and one which is air-conditioned, for those wanting to escape the warmth. Next time you are here make sure you try the local village cooking demonstration behind... More
