This restaurant was our go to place while in Port Vila. Great food, great service, lovely deck overlooking the harbourside, painted white with cute fairy lights in the trees, making it comforting at night. Yes it has a european feel, but a little slice of what we're used to back home makes you feel welcome. If you're in Port Vila... More

We lunched here while waiting for the sunset cruise to get underway. Picturesque spot right on the water, quiet and tranquil. Lovely staff, excellent food and ice cold drinks. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed both lunch and dinner at Le Cafe du Village with different friends. Everyone was impressed with the fare including two of my favourites being the seafood chowder served inside the shell of a large bun which you may eat as you progress and the steak and kidney pie. The ambience was outstanding and the service excellent.

We dined here one night and found the experience so lovely. The waitresses Wendy and Monique were friendly and very helpful. Magical little spot by the water with great fresh food and tonnes of atmosphere.

We called in here for lunch. Ordered drinks and then asked for a menu. When the menu arrived there was nothing there we all liked. We didn't think there was a lot to choose from after going to other places. Seems popular with locals though. Nice setting outdoors by the waterfront - boats parked there. Quaint place.

We dined here twice within a week, we so enjoyed our first visit. We sat outside on the balcony with a beautiful view overlooking the water. We both ate seafood pasta both times, it was so delicious! The pasta was well handmade and soft. The waitress Wendy was so lovely, with a great personality. I'd visit it again if I... More

We only came for drinks but would return for the food which looked great. The staff were so helpful - storing our fruit from the markets in the fridge until we returned.

Had dinner here one evening. The atmosphere was calm, relaxed and friendly and is in a great spot overlooking the boats and Iririki Island. The food was good quality with a great selection, very English influenced (by the owner) with such classics as fish and chips with tartare sauce, bangers and mash, steak and kidney pie etc. A good selection... Last time we went to Port Vila we found this place and walked off the main street, down to the waterfront, leaving the noise of the traffic for complete tranquility and a cold Tusker or two. We did the same this time and the charm, setting and quality service still haven't changed.

The Mediterranean design, waterfront location and superb cuisine have earned Cafe du Village iconic status in Vanuatu. Just a few steps down a leafy passegway next to the Grand Hotel you will enter into a small coutyard of serenity with split level coral based terraces, vivid white ballustrates, high ceilings, and white louvre shutters. Our local staff are carefully selected for their friendliness and hospitality from the top resort hotels and international cruise lines. We offer a diverse choice of dishes to suit most palates, from our freshly caught fish and lobster (when available), our excellent local beef, to our popular sausage and mash and steak and kidney pie, but make sure you a leave a little space for one of our amazing desserts. With a perfect location, beautiful views over the harbour, breath taking sunsets and fabulous hospitality there is no better place in Port Vila to relax, enjoy and while away the day.
