What an enjoyable experience eating at L'Houstalet Restaurant - here is where you get the BEST coconut crab in Vanuatu. Very, very popular, so be sure to book.

We only went here on our last night. BIG MISTAKE. Amazing food! Don't let the front of the restaurant fool you. Looks dark and dingy but once inside, its busy and the food and service is truly incredible. Try the pasta with prawns and muscles!

Best meal and value we ate in Port Vila and over 5 nights we tried a number. The steak particularly was very good.

We went as a family of four. We were delighted to find a non-smoking air-conditioned room - bliss in Port Vila. Two highlights hit us upon entering - one was reasonably priced wine. A small carafe, yes... maybe two glasses but only 500 Vatu. Tusker was only 350 vatu, the cheapest we found. The boys were excited to receive complimentary... More

There is a lot of hype regarding this hotel since it has been around for so long. We found it to be just average or slightly below. The coconut crab wasn't very fresh and the prawns were a bit over cooked. But the Tuskers were only 350vuv so not all bad.

My son had stuffed crab claws which he loved and my husband had poulet fish which he said was nice. We had profiteroles for desert which were lovely. Recommend it for a nice easy French meal. Thanks... More

Opened 40 years ago, the Menu hasn't changed. It says it all! I'm french and really enjoyed the typical french cuisine and themenu. The owner came and said hello to us, staff is welcoming, good food, BYO. My only negative feedback is by 9pm all patrons had left and we felt we had to go as staff and owner wanted... More

Werent sure about visiting this place, but always had cars parked out front, so gave it a go. We were greeted and seated when we entered and ordered a pasta and steak (was tempted to give the flying fox (apparently a specialty) a try, but wasnt brave enough). Staff were very happy and helpful (as most of the locals in... More

Had a lovely meal at this restaurant yesterday. The beef fillet was done just right and my wife had the crayfish. Delicious and generous. Tonight we ended up at the war Horse nad Clement happened to be there for drink. We were waiting for a lift when he went to his car. I asked Clement If he would take 11... More
