French onions soup was superb, service was great but they could smile a bit more. Steak was top notch, desert was great, wine was excellent. Hardly expect to get 2007 Ste Estephe on a pacific island. A real highlight of our trip.

Visited this French restaurant to eat Italian! haha Was very good. Pizzas were lovely though egg wasn't cooked. Had to get it off. Pasta was good too. Complementary bread baskets and butter were very much appreciated. Nice atmosphere.

For all the massive raves about the food and the like we came back 10 years later and where so disappointed .. Nothing had changed , the decor and seating indeed nothing has been updated .. Ohhh the only thing that has changed is the quality of the food .. Looking forward to the famous coconut crab whilst generous and... More

Food was OK - very much a throw back to French restaurants in the 80's. It's much larger inside than it appears from the road. Seems to trade off it's reputation a bit.

We came here on advice from our accommodation at Travellers Budget Motel. The food/wine was delicious, especially the french onion soup and the seafood spaghetti. Even the Pigeon. Clement even drove us back the motel after our meal.

We had eaten here a few years ago so were keen to come back. I will start by saying that of the 4 of us, 3 had pizza and the 4th had pasta so we covered very little of the extensive menu which includes flying fox. But it is what it is. The pizzas were ok but quite greasy and... More

This is by far the worst restaurant I have eaten in. From the miserable staff to the dirty broken crockery and then the inedible food! We couldn't wait to get out of there. Port Vila is home to some amazing restaurants which we were fortunate enough to try. Please don't waste your time or money on this place.

This place is relaxed, down to earth and pricey. But there is not much cheap and cheerful in Vila. Food is excellent, try the French Onion Soup and the Crevette Flambee (certainly is a bit showy if you like being the center of attention for 5 seconds). Menu has apparently not changed since opening (over 40 years ago). To borrow... More

L'Houstalet is one of the iconic restaurant in town and Clement operates it for 40 years now The carte remains the same since and the food is delicious and consistant since the begining. To visit while in Vila and end your diner by Profiteroles au chocolat

I really liked this restaurant. Food was great. I had french onion soup for entree and lobster for main. Lovely French food and ambience. The kids had a plate of snails in garlic butter for entree and ate them all! They then had pizza for main which was also a hit.

Thank Ainsley L
