At first glance Carp doesn't seem to be much of a restaurant but the it is clean, the service is attentive and the food is good. The portions are huge so best to order less than you might think and make sure to share.

After a lot of very expensive restaurants we searched for an alternative and we found it in the Carp. It is rustikal, you can meet locals and it is cheaper than many others, and the best: It offers a good food, we had fried fish some coco crab and dumplings- all great!

Went here after a week off shore on a live-aboard boat for a group dinner. We had high expectations of the place based on reputation and recommendations. And a fellow diver wanted to check out the bat soup (not my taste). My choice, a Japanese style Sukiyaki platter based on prawns, was heavy and greasy. Way too much oil. The... More

Traveling to Palau, Carp Restaurant is one of the local joint you must visit. The beef short ribs with pickled garlic just hits the spot. Local clam onomiyaki is my favorite dish, my kids never fail to order the fried shrimp with kangkum leaves. I grew up eating in this restaurant with my grandparents and parents now i bring my... We were so lucky we found this place at the first day of our sray, so we kept going here every single day. Yes, we tried different places, but it was nothing comparing to Carp. Delicious local and japanese food. Especially yellow fins sashimi, shrimp tempura, choped beef and so on. Portions are huge, so we shared and taste. Very... More

This place is great! It's down the road from Sam's Tours, Palau Royal Resort, The Cove, and Comfort Suites. There is a sign just to the right of the Palau Royal Resort entrance. Follow the sign down the street, keep left, and it's the building tucked away next to the dive shop. The menu includes both Japanese and Palau local... More

Place is hard to find, lucky our driver knew exactly where it is. Generous serving, so order less than what you normally would. Average quality.

Ate here twice. I had the Goyza Japanese dumplings, Papaya salad and the Mangrove Crab. The servings are all very large and you can definitely share, even the Papaya salad. If you want local food this is place to go. I think the prices are reasonable for the size of the portions. I was hoping to try the Coconut crab... More

This restaurant is a like a hole in the wall, just a stone's throw away from Palau Royal Resort. Had dinner there with my fiance, food was average with Japanese and Palauan influences. But had to wait for 15 minutes for our food order to be taken. 50 seats and always full. Overall, it's a mediocre restaurant...
